Hello guys
i have p150 ug3 and i have changed my block piston recently and after that i used motul semi synthetic 20w50. but after 2000km the oil started evaporating. It was just little less as i see through the glass on the engine. So i decided to change the oil. But there is something wrong with Pune motul dealer as no stock is available and i need to change the oil, so i searched near by and at castrol bike point the guy told me that i should try castrol power 1. then i changed the oil to castrol power 1 semi-synthetic of 15W40 grade . SO i just want help that is it ok for p150 ?? means i dont knw which grade oil is recommended for p150 ug3 as different people are telling me different grades. so is 15w40 safe with my engine and is castrol good oil ?? or should i go back to motul 20w50 ? i have heard that p150 have heating problem and so W50 is better than W40, is it true ? And while i was using motul 20W50 semi-synthetic it seem like i am riding with so much weight and with castrol 15w40 power1 ss while riding its very free please help me regarding this..

There is oil loss ones you cover kms. The engine does consume oil. For how many kms did you do the break in? When was the last time you changed the oil?

Your bike manual will have the oil grade mentioned in it. This will help you choose the right oil.

W50 surely has better heat dissipation property than the W40 oil. But, the viscosity of W50 will be more than W40 oil.

Lesser the viscometrics, free revving will be your bike. But, all engines dont take the thinner oils positively.

Where can I get Motul in Mumbai? Have never seen it any of the nearby shops. They all stock Castrol, Gulf and Shell only.

At so many places in andheri and all area.
Better search of just dial for Motul dealers, wr mobile number and call.

In saki naka you will surely get. In borivali there is a shop.

Ping shv18. He knows somebody in south bombay who is a Motul dealer or you can get to know the place from where he buys the oil.

I don't think you can. Some have CF alone and some have SJ and CF which means they can be used in both engines. But this only has CF I guess. But if your car has a cat con you might want to reconsider using this oil. My net is down I couldn't do more research as in mobile.

I was searching for ValVoline in some shops and then I got to see these :



3000 was 2.5Litre : 725rs
2000 was 3Litre : 810rs

That makes it cheap
And its 15W50 and 20W50 too.

So how's my idea of getting these big cans ??

The 2000 is a 4 wheeler oil.... do not use it.
