      3100 is mineral (350rs)
      5100 is semi-synthetic (560rs)

      B7ACKTHORN, krish
And others also have explained this in very detail just 2-3 pages back.
      Go and have a look

Switch to 3100 for once and see the changes.
I hope You'll get some good.

Lol I cant spend 600 bucks for oil, 3100 sounds good but y isn't it available in 20w40? I've found that grade to be best suited for my bike.

Every brand have their own logics.

Well W50 gonna be more trustworthy + heat resistant than W40.
But as you saying W40 is more suitable for your bike.

Why not give a try once ?
            Give a try to 3100 20W50 once.
I don't think you will regret.

There was 1 more guy or you only.
I don't remember. Some pages back quoting the same that his bike suites W40 and Ben service center uses the same.

No the Honda oil now is 10w30. I Googled the 3100 nd it seems they have a 10w40 one, I'll try that.

They're giving 10w30 for their scooters and bikes, such a thin oil along with their free play pistons are messing up the engines.

Bcz I heard many cases where a cylinder or piston would fail, but they can still figure out whether the person has Run-in Properly.. I dunno how

Well, that's not possible, unless they aren't sure you've a genuine engine oil or coconut oil (just for gags) to use optical spectrometry, and particle analysis as such. And unless your bike enigne seizes and if it's a brand new one, then they are sure to do those things. But just for an engine oil! Well, you can breathe free. I mean come on, all mechs in any give SVC want to push that pig out on an ASAP basis. And if they're gonna analyze one pig's blood just by the look of it, that's HIGHTLY UNLIKELY.

Chalo chalo, Hoi Hoi... if you know what I mean.

                    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

If you can't find motul 3000 4T plus 20w40 go to any yamaha service and buy yamalube 20w40 . Even servo 4T 20w40 available from indianoil pumps is very good . Since your bike likes it , stick to 20w40 , it's the most suited oil grade for our climate .

I did. Its good makes your engine real smooth and tweaks pickup and performance too. But the changes are not very pronounced like a mod or something. Some might not even notice the difference. Somthing like adding a small pinch of salt. I doubt it burned up my clutchplates. Didn't use it again...

Am posting in the engine oils page now , . . Okay guys I am using Shell Helix semi-synthetic, (kinda blue color bottle one) from last time for my Honda Unicorn, it's great and I am very happy with it. . . Now it's engine oil change time, so many of my friends including mechanics have so much good opinions on Castrol Magnetic for my Unicorn as it's a very good engine oil and also reduces engine noise. . . Which do you think is better and makes my engine still more smoother. . . Shall I put Shell helix itself or go for Castrol Magnetic. . ? Thanks in advance guys. . .

                                Cheers!!!
