You can use mineral oils upto to 3 to 4k KMS on your bike and then switch to Motul SS. For a 150cc you need not use Fully Synthetic as such.

For now use 3000T till your bike hits 3 to 3.5K Kms on your odo with 3000T

And then you can use 3100T or 5100 SS oils.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I've ridden about 2200km on my 10W40 Veedol Super Swift and feel like changing. Now I liked the Veedol much more than the 5100 15W50 used for just once before the current Veedol. But the 5100 was good till 4.5K kms. Now I'm thinking to go for 7100@10W40, or then repeat Veedol. What do you suggest?

ITs 1100 kms. The bike manual recommends 20W40. Can I go for that grade FS? I need to do a lot of trips in coming weeks. So if i change now, I cant change for another 2000 kms.

Im interested in changing to synthetic only as the bike is running in synthetic from start.

You can either use costly FS oil from Motul or use a reasonably priced FS from Motul too. You sure the bike is running of FS right from the factory? Fully synthetic oils cost a tad more than the FS oils. But I'd always recommened you a SS for the best of both worlds. But as always, one can use any oil like they like.

NGK Plugs are mostly costly and better plugs than most Champion and Mico ones out there. But nothing drastic to part with, where the stock is more than enough to handle its job.

It is indeed, on any bike MINERAL is the most recommended, not FS all the way. Perhaps he is just confused as to the blend. But I'd always recommend mineral at least for first 3k or at least SS for the minimum.

Can we get engine oils of larger quantity, apart from 1ltr bottle???my bike needs about 2.2ltrs 10w40 fully synthetic (ninja300) and I think it's economical if we are getting 5ltr bottle.and also my old bike needs 1.2ltr 20w40 / 15w40 semi synthetic (kawasaki eliminator).

Almost all of them here keep a reserve can when the engine oil exceeds the 1000ML (1L barrier) As in most above 200cc bikes they do require 1.1 to 1.5ML of oil. And I myself use two cans of oil, reason being two, one for top up and one for using the extra ML needed apart from the 1l.

It's a good practice to stack at least a liter of oil just in case for top ups if needed and next time you can just buy 1L of whatever oil and use the remaining can to topup and by the time. Simple, effective and time saver.

                        Cheers!

Motul 7100 10W40 apparently has a 4L can. But you'll have to go to wholesaler guys who are more likely to stock that quantity can.

                              Same query here!

In case of 150R, compared with the prices of oils and what we were charged at the ASC for oil change, the oil used is FS right from the start.
Asked a guy at ASC here in b'lore and he too confirmed it.

In past three changes, each time oil lasted for around 3-3.5k kms before roughness started to show up.
This time its just 1.5k kms and am already feeling some pretty viby shrills.

It will be really helpful suggesting grades and particular products to select as 20W40 is suggested in the manual.

P.S. My first bike and first time opting for a 3rd party engine oil, so didn't want to mess anything up.
The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)

Why not switch to SS for a while and see the difference. Try Mobil1 Racing or Motul 5100 SS and 300V SS though the 300V would be an overkill for your bike, these both are avlbl in the 10w40 grades.
