In the next 500 km or so I'll drain and fill up shell again. Thanks.
Is there anyway I can get motul engine oil online?

Royal Enfield guys put it in during oil change.... don't know much though....wasn't really happy with my Enfield...don't think it had much to do with the additive.... but since RE is imposing it on every oil change, it may be good or profitable for them..
Sorry don't have much on it.

Instead of using additives I think its best to use FS oils from Motul or shell.

Some extent you are right. Actually I heard about it from RE guys only and me too own one. They said, overall the engine felt smoother and only 80ml of it is required and last for 10K kms, but still wanted to check if anyone here has used. I have heard only positive reviews about it.

But I doubt, RE never impose it on every oil change, at least the RE ASC never said so here in Bangalore?. The ASC/mechanic from where I get my bull serviced here in Bangalore is quite an experienced one and they never vouched for it

Motul is the engine oil recommended for RE and they use the same in every service which involves engine oil change.

Is your question for Liquid Gun? If yes then I don't know

I always use Shell advance ax5 20w40 on my discover 135 as i find it best suited for my bike. I have to ride 280km tomorrow to my workplace. Since all the shops were closed i couldn't get shell oil today so used MAK 20w40 to top up the engine oil level. This won't be a problem right?
Absolutely no problem. I used the MAK 20w40 though it was an okay-ish oil, for top ups they can be used with no problem.

Wurth makes excellent stuff. One of my friend has a garage, cleaning washing, polishing etc, he uses Wurth and always vouches for them. Though usually on the costlier side (at least for the products he uses) I think Wurth is a good brand to consider. They are German!

                        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                        THE END

Wow. Your reply further strengthens my decision to go for it in the next service of my Bull. The guy who recommended he told 80ml is fine for RE and would cost just 350 Rs (40 ml bottles actually, 175 Rs each).

Hope the reaffirmation helps you in making your decision better. Also, when using additives, make sure you use the right amount of additives for the volume of the engine oil. Using more will reduce the ability of the engine oil's inherent molecules to work their way up. Use the right amount and you're all set.

                            Cheers!

I guess my bike did not like the taste of MAK.
Yes the engine was not as smooth as it would be with shell oil. Due to which the vibes have uplifted..

One more query, whenever i ride by bike for a 500km after an oil change the oil level goes down(be it city or highway ride). Why is it so?

Oh yeah indeed it helped as I have mentioned before. Yes correct right amount is the key and got to know from many that 80ml is that right amount .

                                Thank you for the reply.
