Nah, dtsi lasts 700kms somewhat like motul. And I HAVE to, I hate it though.

Today shifed from 10w30 to 20w40 in my xtreme. After draining by tilting sideways poured the 1l oil and the level was exactly on the upper mark. Then after a trip of 30 kms checked oil level. But it was on the middle pont between upper and lower why this happens guys??

Park the bike on the main stand for more than 30 minutes. Then check the level of the oil. If the oil level is still low, then it means that you have used 10W30 oil for so long that the block / piston has got tuned to work best with 10W30 oil. As Hero Motocorp also recommends 10W30 oil, it would be advisable to stick to 10W30 grade. cheers

Always park your bike on Main Center stand , when checking oil level....If you had operated the engine, then wait for 10 minutes AFTER switching OFF the engine, before Taking an oil level reading....When you pour in New oil and check immediately it will show slightly higher oil level since it had not circulated .....after the engine had worked for some time, it takes time for oil to move down into the crankcase to give a proper reading...still depending on engine at least 100~300 ml of oil will be read as less due to oil sticking to engine internal surface.

Yes i was using 10w30 for long time. Since it is summer and is hot decided to use 20w40. Also some forum mates advised to do so.

The owner's manual says the procedure for oil level check as: 1) start the engine and let it idle for 3 to 5 mins
2)switch off engine and park bike on main stand
3)check oil level using dip stick

I'm following this procedure. Is this correct?

As stated above, you should not check the oil level immediately after shutting the engine. Wait for 10-15 mins and allow the oil to settle in the oil sump. After that you check the oil level.

When you drain the oil and fill new oil then the level will be higher. If you are following the above procedure it will always give you a lower level as some oil will have circulated in the engine. If you want to check if some oil has disappeared, then park teh bike on main stand for atleast 30 minutes and then check

Accompanied my stunner friend to oil change.
He's those kind of humans who uses bikes to reach destination and never takes care of it.
While the old oil was drained, The QUANTITY RHAT CAME OUT WAS ONLY 100ML
Stunner needs 1L AND when old oil was drained, it was only 100ml.
I was shocked that his bike didn't seized.

Goes without saying, it's a Stunner but even more so why exactly 100 ml? Lives up to its name!!!

As it was 100 ml.. the damage has already been done. It is going to consume oil and after every 300 kms or so the oil level would be 100 ml again and one day it would seize.

Use a thicker oil since the damage has already been done and its going to consume oil (read damaged piston rings and bore)
But the thicker oil is better for motors with low compression

Sad to see people that dot take care of their bikes
Reminds me of my friend that siezed his pulsar engine recently

Many companies don't go for JASO / API certifications owing to the cost of certifying the oil. They generally test the oil in there respective laboratory and say "meets/exceeds" API SG/SL/SM etc etc.

RX-100 being a two stroke engine, requires a pre-mix for lubrication. Properties of 4-stroke oil is different than 2-stroke oil. 300V being a 4-stroke oil should not be used for your RX-100.
