Guys thread is wandering off a little....be careful of mod actions....(sorry but I dont want any of my friends to get a scolding:/)

Also can anyone tell me I have a problem.
Im running the bike like crazy these days.... 1000kms popping off every 8 to 10 days! And my engine oil (3100 gold) is turining out to be a costly monthly affair. My bike dosent take to well to synthetics..falls in level and springs a leak here and there....(i cant get very good quality gaskets (bajaj after msrket quality...plus engine clearences are not as tight as before). engine oil consumption is zero to 30-50ml every 2k kms.... ignorable I suppose. Its not burning oil. I need a cheaper alternative for the next 3 months... an oil I can dump every 2k.... or so... but is cheap and wont f up my engine... any idea if I can source a bigger can (4 - 5liter) car oil? will be cheaper ehh? My bike has always taken well to car oils... occasionally slipped clutches... is it a good idea? or I should just bite the bullet and live with a lighter wallet for the next few months?

Yeah man that what i was also thinking but since it was such an healthy transformation of thoughts and knowledge that i did not want to stop it in between, but still thanks for alerting sorry to mods also, hope they will understand that i was not debating nor was there any attempt to wander off from the main topic of oils in this forum, thanks to honda_abhi also as he kept answering every question properly and politely. Thanks to you also bro.

People will laugh as they don't have anything else to do, you did what you felt right and you know you are purchasing the right product, as for the shine yeah it's the best selling 125cc bike, still i feel product is not upto the mark engine starts to vibrate after 60km/h and there are lots of complaints on internet about this bike also, some of the customer have even complaint the matter to consumer forum also.

Search for liqui moly oil i have used this oil in my bike and to my feeling oil is very good, the oil is cheap and was available in 5lt caan, or you can look out for valvoline all climate engine oil, oil is available in 3lt packing grade is 20w50.The other product from same stable is dura blend but the oil grade is 10w40 available in 4lt packing.

Guys, one or two off topic posts are fine, but doing the same for an entire page of posts will lead to deletion (and has) even if there are important points that should have been discussed in their relevant threads.

        Please co-operate.

No ways! Your oem grade is 10w30 and you can go with 10w40 no problems but w50 oils will be too thick! Dont do that. Can you source shell ax7 10W40 or any 10w30 oil? Then go with that. Stick to 10w30 or 10w40.

Buy Motul 3000 4T Plus 15w50 in the large cans ( those come for Enfield bullets ) and replace oil once a month . This should work out cheapest in the 20w50/15w50 grade .

Can we compare prices of Motul 3000 4T Plus 15w50 in 1L with large cans (4 or 5 L)?

Its not as easy as you both feel. Had you guys talked about the same stuff in the entire page, it would have been easier for me to move that portion to its thread (in relevance). Some posts were about scooters, some about bashing non Honda bikes, some good points on upping the competition and some on the Dream series.

And it is not my responsibility to pick each post as it comes and move it to its apt thread.
I can understand when a newbie does this and most of the times I see them creating new threads for the smallest of issues and thereafter it is my job to merge it with the existing thread. You guys being older members on the forum should be aware of the posting guidelines.

P.P.S - It is clearly mentioned in the posting guidelines that OTs will be removed! Have to preserve important data, post it in the relevant thread.

Yup! And exactly what is to be considered as "relevant".

Because there are post after posts about useless service centers, and loose nut and bolts and washers and teflon tape on this thread.
