That is also my doubt as it is mentioned as technosynthese. Is it mineral or SS.

Hello brother, the fi fz comes with a ss yamalube.

The oil you have at hand is a semi-synthetic oil, 3100 gold.... motul 3000 is mineral. Excellet oil.... for the first 1500kms you wont be able to differentiate between 5100 or 3100 after that its a different ball game all together. 3100 starts degrading and I never kept it beyond 2k (usually) whereas 5100 is good for 3k to 3.5k kms.

      Need help...pulsar 180 ug4.5 18500 kms

Until now i have been using motul 5100 15w50.
The mechanic is now suggesting castrol gtx 20w 50.

Should i go for it? What would be its drain period and cost. If anyone has used/using it please give a review.

Use Motul only if you don't have problem getting it in your area.

        Ride safe and have fun.

Castrol GTX is car specific oil, so I'd suggest you not to use this particular oil. Stick with lesser grade motorcycle specific oil "if you have trouble sourcing" the OE grade say w40 instead of w50 but don't stick with car oil.

            Guys,

What is the drain interval of Motul 3000 4T plus mineral oil?. Will there be any effect of changing from synthetic to mineral oil?

Depends upon your bike but drain period is between 1200-1600 kms from my experience for motul 3000.
And no, it won't affect anything if you change to mineral from synthetic.

Racer 4 is available in synthetic and mineral. Now i am running on the mineral racer 4, which is an ok oil but not great. I was previously using gulf pride which was way ahead than racer 4. With racer 4 gear shifting is fine but not butter smooth as gulf pride. Hope this helps. I will suggest you to go with gulf pride 20w40 which is a synthetic blend oil.

presently using semi synth. Shell AX7 10w40 for my 125cc HERO IGNITOR (recommendation 10w30)

now i am thinking to switch to FULLY SYNTHETIC Shell Advance Ultra 10w40

                              MY QUESTION IS-

                              1. SHALL I SWITCH TO FULLY SYNTH. FOR MY 125cc ?

                              2. IS SHELL AX5 & SHELL ADVANCE ULTRA BOTH FULLY SYNTH ? WHICH ONE SHOULD I OPT. ?

                              3. AFTER HOW MANY KMS. I SHOULD CHANGE SEMI-SYNTH & SYNTH OILS ?

                                Hi there

Shell AX5 is 20w40 mineral oil and it will last for 2 - 2.5K
Shell Ultra is 10w 40 synthetic oil and u can stretch it to 5 - 5.5K

If recommended grade for your bike is 10W30 then do not shift to 20W40 AX5. As Shell AX5 20W40 is a thicker oil and will reduce mileage and put strain on engine.
