Re: Engine Oils
Motul 300v in R15 is a complete waste of money & oil.Originally posted by D.j View PostI got my bottle of Motul 300v today ..
It is manufactured in 07/15 . [emoji2]
I am happy lets see what it feels like in R15v2 .
There's no way a calm engine of 150cc from Yamaha need this oil. The chances are it might leak out because it's such thin.
Stick to 5100 or 7100 and it's more than enough.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

Re: Engine Oils
I understand that 300v is too much for a 150 cc machine.. And i have good faith in 7100 as i have used it many times ..Originally posted by Sird View PostMotul 300v in R15 is a complete waste of money & oil.

I just want to give it a try to see how it performs . that's the reason for ordering only 1 bottle .
Thanks for the suggestions mate ..

Re: Engine Oils
I will keep an eye on the oil level for sure while using this oil .Originally posted by black asp View PostEvaporation is high too if ridden in bumper to bumper traffic with heavy clutching. Lost like 300 ml in 1500-1800 kms when i was using 300v
CHEERS
And my ride mostly includes highway, and I usually go to office in off shift timings - because of 24*7 shift job [emoji17] ,so rarely i stuck in traffic.>>>>Beware of Zombies<<<<

Re: Engine Oils
Till now i have used
Yamalube 10w40 synthetic
Yamalube 20w40 mineral
Motul 7100 20w50
Shell Advance ultra 10w40
Next
Motul 300v 15w50 .
Motul 7100 was the best oil so far for me with too much ripping, sane riding , highway riding , city riding and hill riding .. Works well in summer condition. But in winter My svc mechanic said it can create some starting issues. So will be going for 10w40 then ..>>>>Beware of Zombies<<<<

Even if the grade is same (10W40) but from different manufacturers, the oil differs. Stick to the one that was satisfying.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

This will be my last try I promise to my bike [emoji13] and then will stick to either 7100 or 300v if that gives satisfactory results..
Lastly want to know the feedback of shell advance AX7 as it is darn cheap and semisynthetic too .. I got it at ₹315 .>>>>Beware of Zombies<<<<

When I was in Mumbai, we xBhp people were lucky enough to find a distributor. He was giving flat 50-80₹ discount on each bottle and always said he could give 100-120₹ discount if we purchase 7-8 bottle together.
No such luck in Delhi though.First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal
