Hey guys. I bought a 2015 Splendor Pro in Summer and have covered 9k on the ODO. I've used 20w40 Castrol Activ till date and now in winter, the temperature is usually within 20C. I've been having a lot of cold start issues and the Hero manual recommends using 10w30. Should I switch to it for the winters?

I've been getting some recommendations to use a GS Caltex Semi-Synthetic 10w30. Tempted to try it because of the good reviews.

Yes. Offline it costs about Rs 295 and there's a Rs 20 off when you scratch the card on the cap. At Rs 275, it doesn't sound too costly for a SS oil.

He's one of the best knowledgeable person in field of automobiles in india, many xbhpians know him. He's the SPORTZTOURER. His explanations are simple and to the point. He's the 1st person in india to install slipper clutch in a non slipper clutch variant of rtr 200.

That vid was part of past queries he was asked and are his choices/opinion/suggestion for those who need it.

Otherwise he is simple DIY guy who makes simple and good vids. He is an automobile engg afaik.

Tvs has launched a new semi synthetic oil.
