    Completely depends on you.

Though as I previously owned a gixxer sf, I will recommend to run the bike on mineral oil (from suzuki) for next 3k-5k kms.

After that try out the Motul 7100 10w40. Its probably the best oil I have ever used in my Gixxer SF. You can also shift to any other fully synthetic oil.

It will smooth out your engine and will last longer.

I've heard they use r5000 from Suzuki but to my surprise the service guy didn't know which oil I was speaking about and put Motul 3000 4T 10w40 Mineral oil in it. I'll use 7100 after 5k kms. thanks

Service people hardly know anything [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. No offense but even in my case when I used to ask them about the engine oil.

They used to search around the workshop and bring a used bottle to show me.

And to my surprise here in my city, even guys who work on my apache RR 310 doesn't know whether the oil is a mineral or semi synthetic oil.

Same case in honda svc [emoji23][emoji23]. Only TVS svc is well educated about engine oils. TVS recommends semi synthetic and synthetic oils depending upon different models.

            Nice to know.

My RR 310 is a TVS Apache RR 310 and in my city I guess they are not so well educated.

How can I differentiate between a fake and genuine Motul 300V engine oil?

I am from Bhubaneswar and I bought a Motul 300V for Rs. 950 while mrp was 1035.
900+ odd is the online price on amazon usually. If bought online, and from a trusted seller, then you are fine. If bought offline, if the shop is a trusted with good volume sales, you should be fine.

                  A query.

                  TVS Apache RR 310
                  Motul 3000 15w50 (a mineral oil)
Top Up interval : 5,000 Kms.
                  Change Interval: 10,000 Kms
                  Oil Capacity: 1.7 Litres

Is it good to stretch upto 10k kms on a mineral oil?

No, use synthetic oil after break in period. Smaller apache's use synthetic oil from 1st servicing itself.Click image for larger version

                      Haahaa.

Tvs has recommended "Motul 3000 15w50 4t plus hi tech" in the manual itself.

                      Its there's flagship product.

And SVC are putting that oil too.Click image for larger version

Because BMW has instructed them so. You're free to use any oil of recommended grade.

BMW uses their own Semi synthetic oil. I did check the G310R forums and found that BMW is putting their own very costly semi synthetic oil.

I asked svc for the same and they said that it will hamper my warranty. Even if the grade is same like motul 300v 15w50.
