Why would anyone put fully synthetic oil on an engine which has not completed breaking in? Also, if people are endorsing higher top speed with engine oil in pulsars, then that is totally misleading and false.
@Sudharshaninu: There was a case in Bangalore where the PBK service guys were putting xW40 grade oil in a brand new 220 DTS-i. If not for a friend spotting it, they would have put it. I suggest you get the oil change done in front of your eyes, and put 20W50 oil that they generally provide. You could move on to semi-synth/fully synth after 5000 kms.DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe

.. i expect they should put 20w50 as they specified in the manual .. it should be mineral right .. they shouldn't put semi or full synthetic

GUYS(GALS also) PLS PLS HELP HELP
pls recommend an oil fir my bike
i hv an apache rtr(0 meter)
it's already 13900 on her in 9 months only.
using NGK IRIDIUM CR8Eix.from last 8500kms.
gone to a top-speed of 123..my average speed is 65-75 and 100-110 once in 15 days...
i have used a range of oils like, MOTUL, SPRINTA4000, CASTROL(20W40), POWER1.
MY IMPRESSION on dem:-
1.power1 is good at initail but after 700-800kms it looses smoothness..
n also i saw some POWER1 bottles showing 10W30, which is not for my bike.
2.castrol active(20W40)is good. M usin from last 5k kms, but now it dont give dat smoothness which it used to on earlier fillings...((i think,d shop is not good jahan se mai oil leta hu !!,not genuine oil !!.
3. SPRINTA 4000 is good, light oil, but my mechanic told not to use it coz it's too thin, i.e.10W40. but i liked d oil..
4. MOTUL...naa,,not at all.. BUT i'll try MOTUL5100..
so guys pls help, i heard about MOTUL 5100 n YAMALUBE earlier on d earlier posts.

Pranay, where can I buy engine flush in Bangalore. Which brand?Originally posted by pranay View Post... You should flush the engine, but mind you some remnants of the old oil will remain still. . . . .
Bought a can of Motul 30004T Plus 20W40 today from Cherry Agencies. MRP was Rs.217 and I got it for Rs.205. Gonna change the oil when I get it serviced this week.

Why should EVERYONE not use 300V? There is nothing wrong with the oil. Technically, its the best. The problem is with the Pulsars!Originally posted by eessa View Posthi bro u told me tp go for motul 300v

Yes thats right. At leats thats what I recall seeing when I was at an oil shop couple months back. Though Catrol saw it fit to graciously let us know the viscosity (10W30)... there was no mention of the drain period. So you can safely assume that you can't use it as long as the HH/Gulf/Elf oils, etc. Forgot to take a pic. I of course did not buy it, as Castrol is something I'd buy if there are no other options... lol.Originally posted by viv.nomad View PostSo u mean there r two cp1 in market ; one is 15w40 and doesnot mention it on can and other is 10w30 which print it on can ?is it so?
