As you know and everybody know that FS oils are skinny in nature so they make engine to leak by eating seals of engine and flowing throw its gap making worse for the engine

P.S: spent lot on engine oils.

@athulpillai: Stick to Mineral oil after 5000Kms go for Yamalube or a.k.a motul 5000 semi synthetic and then after 9000Kms go for Fully synthetic engine oil and use Fully synthetic engine oil every time when you change oil.Your bike will last 1Lack kms

Which one do u guys recommend in semisynthetic/synthetic???
I want to get max out of my bike...but yes...without causing harm to the engine !!!

Well Dude R15 comes with semi-synthetic oil in it from factory and company uses semi-synthetic oil for it. You should stick to semi-synthetic for some more time and then u can upgrade to synthetic.

If u r not happy with yamalube u can shift to motul 5100 semi synthetic oil.

      What do u say ZAYN

                • Pasting from my post on the R15 forum

I shifted the Castrol Power 1 Racing at 4500 kms and then to the Motul 300V 15w50 fully synthetic at 7400 kms & now to the AGIP 5w50 fully synthetic at 9300 kms. Just to give you an idea of my daily commute, it involves going from Koramangala to EC which means doing good speeds (110 +) every day with limited city traffic. However between the 4.7k - 6k odo reading I was restricted to pure city riding.

Quick review of both (am no expert so .....)
                  1. CP1R - Cost 750 bucks. The engine was smooth for the first 2000 kms. After that there as a noticeable drop in smoothness over the next 1000 kays. The engine was really making the need for a change in engine oil known.

                  2. Motul 300V - Got this based on really good feedback from fellow R15ers on xbhp. The first 10 kms I was really disappointed with it as the engine felt more rough than when it was on the CP1R. Did a few high speed runs on the ring road and felt it was money down the drain. However in a day or two I realised how wrong I was. The bike was brilliant on the 300v and gets a big thumbs up from me. What I hear is that it is well suited for R15ers who do high speed runs regularly (again, I cant back it up with proof, just word of mouth ) The only downer being the price - a whopping 895 bucks. Ouch ! Unfortunately ran it for only 2k kms before I gave it for servicing & since I had to change the oil filter at 10k I moved to the AGIP 5w50 fully synthetic.

                  3. AGIP 5w50 fully synthetic - Just done 5 kms on the bike so am not in a position to comment. The bike feels smooth. Will have to see how well it performs in comparison to the Motul 300v. Cost - Rs 551

                        Calling for some Help BANGALOREANS:
The Petronas 5100 Fully synth was available in one particular shop in BSK, 3rd stage till last month. And apparently, that guy says he's not the dealer for Petronas anymore.
Any idea from where else I can get this oil in Bangalore or Chennai. I will stock atleast 4 bottles. It does wonders on my ZMA. Atleast to a certain extent, and for the pricing, Hell YEAH
I am using the HH SVC oil now, some company in association with Idemitsu. oil costed 170 bucks. I don't like it that much.
Motul 300V and CP1R is too expensive for me.
