i'm confused, some people and my mechanic are saying its ok.
but some are saying its not good.

shell advance AX7 10w40 semi synthetic can i use it in every season???
I am currently using this oil in my bike. It's a good oil. But the only downside is engine feels hotter after a while if you rip. I was using Motul 15w50 SS earlier and due to the higher thickness in the oil, engine was running cooler then. Wanted a change so tries Shell AX7 10w40 this time . Happy till now.

Gear shifts are smooth. No cold starting issues.

Do you ever notice that when you're driving, anyone going slower than you is an idiot and everyone driving faster than you is a maniac ?

well right now i am using moto 4 gold 20w50 by elf. should i stick with this one it is not giving me any problems. The bike is smooth and the gear shifts are also nice.

i was just thinking of gtx 20w50 who all have used it so far. Do u recommend.

for pulsar 180 ug4 of course. No question asked for it.

Hey, even I wanted to use this oil, but I read on this thread that this shell advance AX7 10w40 is not actually a semi synthetic oil! In fact it is a highly refined mineral oil! Is this true? Now even I am confused.

For castrol it's difficult to find may be 3D hologram (after opening the cap& back sticker 3D hologram square small) is the Original one that's trust in Mumbai. For Shell it's tricky to find every time don't changed oil companies more often coz what we normally do drain the engine oil & put another with change of oil filter but actually one needs to clean the engine perfectly & than put new company engine oil, depends on personal understanding but through international motorbike website one can find out the details

if rec is 10w30 & if you are putting 10w40 than engine will run heavier & may be 15% of engine parts will not lubricate the way it should be. go on shell India website & put query if they have

NO!!!! You cant use this engine oil for your bike even though it is of the recommended rating!
                  Why you cant use?
Ans.In cars, the engine is always separate from the clutch and transmission so they have separate oils for each. The engine oils for cars contains "friction modifiers" to help lessen the amount of friction on engine components and improve fuel economy. These friction modifiers that are added to car oils are what cause serious damages when used in motorcycles. The friction modifiers clog the clutch plates in a motorcycle's transmission causing serious clutch slippage and disabling the motorcycle. In bikes, everything is lubricated by only one type of oil including the valves, piston, transmission, and clutch. Motorcycles require very little and/or no friction modifiers to help improve clutch friction and to prevent clutch slippage. Motorcycle oil has extra anti-wear additives and helps in lubricating all the moving parts. To some people, both oils look and feel the same but now you know the facts of each. So buy only high quality motorcycle oil designed specifically for the type of motorcycle you own. Make sure that you change your oil periodically to keep it fresh and clean to ensure a long life for your engine, transmission, and clutch.

                  D.I.Y-RTR180 brake pad replacing/cleaning

A motorcycle functions entirely in accordance with the laws of reason, and a study of the art of motorcycle maintenance is really a miniature study of the art of rationality itself.

If you see the stamp " confirming to JASO MA" on the oil can it is made for TWO Wheeler engine. All others cannot be used..Confirm also the Grade for your bike from the user manual.
