I ordered the XL sized smk helmet and tried it out yesterday. There is too much wind noise. I don't know the exact word but I think it's called wind buffeting. As if there is a thundercloud on top of your head.

And its there from 40 km per hour speed itself. Is this really how this is or am I missing something ☹️

It must be a defective one....there is nothing like that in my helmet

I am riding with all vents closed. Could that be an issue??

Try covering the dual visor opening and closing mechanism and see if it help. That part could be faulty. Mine get noisy only above 100kmph.

Hi all I recently joined this app, I am looking for a helmet in range of under 4000 with all possible features.

4000 is my maximum budget now.

Best one ISI is studds shifter. Or else my vote would be for smk twister as it come with pinlock30 and speaker pockets , it will cost u 100 or 200 more than 4000.

Try covering the dual visor opening and closing mechanism and see if it help. That part could be faulty. Mine get noisy only above 100kmph.

Sorry I didn't get you. Where is the dual visor opening?
Do you mean the internal sun visor controlling sliding switch?

Would recommend SMK Stellar, comes with Pinlock 30, and is ECE rated. Goodluck.

Also I have a doubt if the size is a mismatch.

According to head size circumference 59 is my head size but I had to order xl due to smk dbranding. As the L size was too much tight for me while removing the helmet and cheeks beeing too night. So I got the xl size.

I am feeling that this could be a reason. Not sure though 😢😢

If you going for smk then Order one size bigger than your head size. As the brand has very tight fitting for our correct head size. Not sure why is that though.. Haha

Watch the helmet fitting guide video by MC garage on YouTube, and try it out. I suspect that the helmet is too big for your head.

Tried a one smaller sized helmet of fame brand and in that also sound is therr.

May be I'm mistaking some other sound as wind noise.
The sound is like if u keep a slight crack open in the window and if there is fast moving air,, how the air will try to get in and make a continuous sound.. Its like that.. Don't know how to put it in better words 😞😞

Did you try the guide? The helmet may be loose for you or the incorrect shape.

Ya I did try the guide .. No its not like howling sound. Its like how if clothes make noise if they are in strong wind..

I almost tried everything but the sound is still there. Maybe its the shape of my head and the SMK brand shape and size.
Tried with baclava also, but didnt help much.

Thinking of returning it and trying some other brand.
