I have a MT Thunder 3 helmet purchased in 2018. Does anyone know which cheek pads are compatible with this Thunder 3 helmet model?

How is the wind noise on MT or SMK helmets? Since imports are banned, any other better options under 15k?

I have the SOL SF5 and I use it only for long rides due to the inner visor. It's pretty conformable for me. I wear specs, so inner visor is extremely useful.

So the Axor Apex series has Pinlock visor and double D rings now. Is it more v4m than smk under 5k?

    hi

I am planning buy a new helmet for touring and my priority is modular.

After extending my budget a bit i have come to two finalist on my list begun it from SMK , MT , LS2

my two finalists are Scorpion ADX1 and Caberg Tour max.

Tourmax has more safety and 5k more as per my research.

Please drop some light if we have some experienced owners of these two helmets.

Looking for a helmet in a budget of 4-5k. Retiring my 5 year old SPG kranos.

Requirements: Low wind noise, spectacles friendly padding

Local dealer says government has restricted imports so its difficult to find brands like Shiro (that i really liked) now. Store is flooded with Axor and SMK.

Not too interested in Axxis or MT series. Axxis seem like rebranded SPG kranos (which suffered from windnoise and rust on buckle within 1 year of ownership).

    Suggestions will be appreciated.

Got myself a Royal enfield helmet yesterday. It is ISI and DOT certified and has a sticker for ECE certification. Looks OK. Even though XL size, it pinches my ear a little. With chin curtain it is a bit difficult to wear with a mask. It will replace my MT helmet that saved my melon a few times over the past 5 years. Got it from RE showroom near my place. Costed 3700 bucks and there is an offer going on that if you purchase accessories worth 3000 INR you get a wallet with MRP of 1500 free and for more than 5000 INR you get a duffel bag worth 2000 free. i asked for a discount if they can keep the wallet, but no luck. The ECE certification is a sticker, so I hope it is genuine, RE online store also claims ECE certification, for only this helmet model.

Even if they do, I guess you can try and explain why you bought the helmet with a higher safety rating/marking or pay the small fine and move on and feel safe in your helmet, rather than buy something that doesn't make you feel safe.

Hi everyone, I have shortlisted the following helmets as my next purchase. Budget is 5K. Requirement is Dual visor and Pinlock.
SMK Twister(Pinlock pre-fitted but the sun visor's positioning is awkward)
Axor Apex(Pinlock needs to be purchased separately)
    Shiro SH881(No sun visor)

Issue is that none of the helmets are ISI certified although all of those have certifications which are much above ISI benchmark. But, due to some strange logic in India, non-ISI helmets are illegal - ECE/DOT certifications do not matter. So, if they cops are out there to make some quick bucks, I will be a sitting duck!

I am happy with my purchase but it is a bit noisier, I use earplugs now. Good thing is you don’t sweat as much.
