Re: Helmets
Studds making it means people would still rank it below other fancy brands. Seen this mentally personally. It has to be a fancy brand name attached to it to make it worth their time and money.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View Post

Re: Helmets
3 stars on Sharp test. Very good for a helmet with internal sunvisor IMHO.
This is a Spada RP one, sold as SMK Twister in the Indian market. This is manufactured for Spada by Studds in India.
Basically Spada rp one and SMK Twister are same helmets.
Hope this helps someone. Comes from my own site search and work.

Re: Helmet Recommendation
In India now their are lots of helmet brands available. For me LS2 and MT helmets are best in your price range.Originally posted by Cyberpunk View PostI need to buy a Good Quality Helmet soon (Good Quality, Respectable Brand, Full Face, Ventilated, Budget is around Rs 6000/-)
Any thoughts on this helmet?
O'Neal Racing Crossfire Full Face Helmet(100% fiberglass construction, Air cooling vent system, Removable & Washable Airnet Gauze and Savior Suede padded liner w/ anti-allergenic materials that wick away perspiration, Scratch resistant Visor featuring "no tools required" removable system, Exceeds SNELL 2000 and D.O.T. (US), ECE 22/04 (Europe) and AS (Australia) safety standards)
They both have good safety certifications , they are aerodynamic and they both provide pinlock for visors .
You must Custom Elements, they have a variety of helmets starting from 4k ( https://www.customelements.in/produc...?orderby=price )
I will suggest you to go with these two only , they are also very comfortable with good fit and their products have a good airflow inlet and outlet.

Scorpion Exo 710. It is a Snell certified helmet. Price starts from 15k.Originally posted by SagarSomanna View PostWould go for Scorpion any specific model ? only concern about weight and wind noise so asked about mt rapide it weighs about 1300 +- .
Same goes for HJC FG-17, it is also a Snell certified helmet. Price same as exo 710. Don't buy mt helmet at that range as there quality is not upto mark.Last edited by Vishal Singha; 07-08-2020, 05:28 PM.

Re: Helmets
Recently seeing a lot of Bilmola Helmets.
Anyone using it?
Personal review?
Looking for a daily helmet from a long time but need something that would suffice to replace my AGV & HJC.
Have given big thoughts to SMK, MT and even bought an Axor, But after using it for a day, I can now say I cannot.
Why Bilmola? The shape & graphics is to my liking.
Also priced decently at around 7k.Last edited by Sird; 06-25-2020, 04:15 PM.

Re: Helmets
Yeah i have always wondered why people go for a low quality(not saying they are unsafe) helmet when your brain is involved, considering many people buy mobiles costing more than 20-30k i am sure you can afford a better lid. If you have budget restraints just buy a lower priced mobile and spend the saved money on a helmetOriginally posted by riturawat55 View PostI have been using Airoh helmet and Bell helmet found that their is not so much difference in Quality and Performance and Durability. Price can be high but when it comes to safety I don't feel anyone should go for less quality because helmet is very important part of riding life. Many people just love riding and roam all the world. I think for this people should choose a helmet that actually gives them proper safety. Though this is my opinion and would like to know other people's opinion on this.
Thanks
. Although, I would like to add that higher price of a helmet doesn't always mean it is safer overall.

You're welcome mate.
Goodluck.Originally posted by Ballistic Rider View PostDear Midnight Evil
Thanks a lot for the inputs
I have finalized SMK Twister. Will be buying it in July or August. The details you shared throws a lot of light over the material of construction and has enhanced my knowledge too [emoji3]
Cheers buddy!!!

Dear Midnight EvilOriginally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostHere are my 2 cents
Helmet shells are usually termed thermoplastic as they are made from a combination of both these thermoplastics. If you go on to check MT helmet catalogue of websites of foreign sellers, they all mention ABS shell. Which for once makes it even tough to find out the shell material.
Similarly, SMK is somewhere written as ABS too, but mostly it is EIRT polycarbonate (EIRT is SMK gimmick, just note polycarbonate)
Fibreglass is the defining choice if you want safety.
Carbon fibre is not necessarily the safest option, it's meant to reduce weight, but is fairly durable.
SHARP rating is for UK and SMK helmets not having SHARP is just because they are not tested by sharp. They might fail, they might hold good.
Also SHARP rating is not do it all.
Buy a helmet which fits you well and has ample padding for those long rides without causing any discomfort.
PS i have been using SMK, MT and Shiro for quite sometime. I would either pick a SMK or invest in a HJC/Scorpion.
