I got an LS2 Helmet from Premji's in Mumbai yesterday. I paid 2500/- for the same. I would say it is the best option if you want a helmet which is better than Studds,Vega. The helmet by the looks of its build definitely looks top quality. My Garage :

A flip from Cross called Hunk was priced around 3.5k. So yours is a good deal it seems.Originally posted by suresh6270 View PostAlso Need opinions on Cross helmets
Cost of the flip type or Modular type Cross helmet in your place.
Here in Chennai it is quoted for 2800~3000 Rs. Is this reasonable?
Cheers

Ohk. Sorry I got that wrong.Originally posted by kaynmantis View PostOh! I don't mean the quality. I don't think Nuvo has any quality issues, I meant I didn't quiet like the paint scheme.
Well looks is a subjective matter. I really liked the graphics of Nuvo helmets when I saw them the first day, loud and flashy.

Well, the visor is not at all flimsy. Its strong and really good.Originally posted by neil.jericho View Post@ Sudeep / Kariznin / other Nuvo owners - What is your impression of the visor of your helmet? I have had a chance to look at a Nuvo helmet a while back and I was surprised to find that its visor was extremely flimsy and flexible. Your thoughts?Sudeep P Nambiar

I doubt that! Not all models sold here are imported from US or Europe. Most of us(me included) are riding the ones coming from China.DOT certified helmets are marketed by Vega and others with ECE sticker are not.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View PostLS2 is an imported brand from US..... marketed in India by Vega
Today a helmet dealer after seeing my LS2 called me in his shop(I was in the adjacent tyre shop,location-Karol Bagh).Asked me the price and the dealer from where I had bought it.I have a LS2 Speed which came for in exchange of 2800 bucks.
You would be surprised to know that he was asking a mere 1800 bucks for the same LS2 Speed(ECE sticker) helmet while the DOT certified ones were for 2600 bucks. You see,if you are good at bargaining you can have the LS2 for 1500 bucks as well.I don't know how much sense I make here but prospective buyers please choose the one which is DOT certified.Other models,I have a doubt..Otherwise,how often do you see the prices of a good,in-demand and branded helmet's price fall from 3K to 1.8k in less than a months time?If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

AFAIK, DOT standard is used in USA whereas ECE is the standard used in Europe. And I guess, LS2 comes from both places. So no point in asking people only to buy with DOT standard.Originally posted by shivank View PostI doubt that! However, there could be fake helmets as well. My only point is, we can't differentiate original and fake ones just by looking at DOT/ECE/SNELL...Sudeep P Nambiar
