A short review on MT Axxis Geo 3:
My previous helmet Volga had given me a good company of about 6+ years. There were no damages, scratches or even a visor change was required all these days, I always close the visor lid while riding.

However when I booked KTM RC 200, my urge for new lid started. Started looking for budget helmets, I was OK with LS2, but due to news about duplicates LS2 was taken out from my list. The next one without many contenders was MT, as every KTM threads and even this Helmets thread was filled with information about MT Helmets.

        http://spartanprogear.com/
gave a list of colors and pricing about each models and I locate a store from this website.

        Address:
        Rydercity
84, Lalbagh Road, Opp MTR Hotel,
        Bangalore - 560 027.
        Mob: +91 98458 19143
        +91 90088 00777
        Contact: Mr.Chandra Kanth

This store is located in Lalbagh Road and quite easy to find. The store manager was very prompt and he answered all the questions and never showed discomfort to do any number of trials, models or colors. I will recommend this store for MT Helmets and other Spartan riding gears. They stock all models of MT and they have a good variety of colors as seen in the above website.
I have used this helmet for about 600 KMs and it is used for my daily commute. When I pen down to write a review the cons were more than the good ones, so let the cons go first. The following cons may not be 100% cons, as the helmet has not completed the break-in period. I think the break-in period defines “You will get used to the helmet in a couple of months and you will not complain”.

        Here it goes, Cons:
Wind Noise: The big negative in this helmet is Wind noise. As soon as you hit 60+ wind nose creeps in and when you are near 80 the noise becomes a disturbing sound, like someone chasing you closely in a loud bullet!
I think that is because of the aerodynamic design in the picture below, this aerodynamic curve/line starting near your chin and ends near the two exhaust vent at the back. So the air flows through the curve and rolls near the vents might cause that thumper chasing effect.

Vent lock: Air inlet vents are great they work all time, be it open or close!

The store manager said each and every part inside this helmet is removable, I thought that was a compliment/feature, but that was a warning. The breath diffuser often pops up, it will come out even before the helmet comes out of your head!

Ear Pains: Yes, even after a short half an hour ride my ears starts paining. It’s not me alone, there were other members complained the same thing, but these reviews were not found before I make a purchase, my bad! Solution: Cheek pad Break-in, but that will take a lot of time.

        Pros:
        Light weight
        Looks classy
        Aerodynamic
No sweats so far, the inside is airy
Visor is dark tinted, I can ride in nights comfortably. Even at place which were pitch dark I never felt the need to open the visor for better visibility. 10/10 rating for this excellent visor.
        All round visibility is good.
Double ‘D’ rings were initially confusing and time consuming, now at ease (but not with gloves) and this tings locks firmly.

Would you recommend this helmet to someone? It’s just a 600 KMs review about my experience. With this little usage I cannot say “NO” to others. But even after the break-in the wind noise is not going to reduce, but you will really get used to it. Nowadays that thumper is not chasing me closely LOL.

Few photos, sorry for the quality WhatsApp reduced it:

Get a good quality full face helmets, the "off-road" helmets sold here are no god other than to look at, it cracks up/snaps off at the slightest of pressure and this is a big turn down when you are falling down from your bike.

This topic has already been discussed here in details too, if you want to get more details, feel free to use the search option on the forum.

              Cheers

Honestly 2k is a bit less for getting a decent helmet. If you can stretch it to 3k or so there are good options like LS2 , MT(base model, not sure of its cost) which offers decent protection than teh other.
Worst case you can check the vega axor, it looks small and flimsy and padding is thin, but it says it has DOT certification.

                    Cheers

you can consider Vega Axxor too..

though, i cant vouch for its quality or anything.

Mt is a good option. The base model will cost you 4100.
