Apparently they will get the package collected, and then post evaluation will resend fresh piece.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostBTW, try getting in touch with the seller on SD and talk. What are the "Return" conditions/policies on SD?
What surprises me is how a seller can do something like this. Doesn't it effect their reputation.

it has to be replaced... As you've no doubt noticed, it gets pretty bad for visibility... My last helmet I had to eventually replace the full helmet sooner than I wanted cause I wasn't getting a replacement visor! So try to keep a helmet which has visors easily available.
As for maintaining visor life, I wash it with water after every trip. The trick is to not use any washing liquids, just use plain water, and then wipe it dry with tissue paper... I've found tissue paper works brilliantly... I hope this helpsI have found that wiping the visor lightly with a damp cotton cloth and subsequently wiping with a micro fiber cloth [the one that you get from spectacle shops for cleaning glasses] gives great results.Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostOk sir
,
I have spare visior but this is just annoying
And no sir i dont use washing liquids ..
Min cream i use temporarily fills up minute scratches and fixes the problem but 2-3 rides and its back

while wiping, make sure that you blow off any dust particles.. those will create scratches while wiping.
the issue of light spread on visor at night is more due to smudges on the visor. keep the visor clean.
also, handle the helmet with care, dont leave it lying around.. use the shroud that came with it while not using it.
hope this helps

maybe they were not aware of the condition of the product..Originally posted by ratish View PostApparently they will get the package collected, and then post evaluation will resend fresh piece.

or maybe they were hoping that the customer would be a timid guy and wont raise any issue, and they would have the broken piece off their hands. :PRide: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Marine >> KTM Duke 390 2017

Its less likely to work in their favor when the ordered product is a helmet [emoji6]Originally posted by thunderRider View PostI have found that wiping the visor lightly with a damp cotton cloth and subsequently wiping with a micro fiber cloth [the one that you get from spectacle shops for cleaning glasses] gives great results.

Re: Helmets
^^
Brother please avoid snapdeal its one hell of a stupid site with irresponsible sellers .. And snapdeal doesnt have proper or stringent guidelines .. More over they'll shrug off saying we are just portal or a platform for sellers and not responsible for sellers action !!
As far as reputation is concerned seller dont care much about it !
I have been cheated 2 times in row !!
In your case its helmet !
My case had faulty duplicate headphones and damaged ram !
Even amazon is useless .. Customer care is pathetic and everything is pinned on you
Try flipkart... had seen ls2 helmets there !
Had received faulty products thrice but it took merely 3 min call to customer care ..not only i was sent new replacement without being questioned even once !... But the seller had been banned or removed on account of negative reviews !
Plus in case of refund they'll refund in cash ! Where as sd or amazon will refund in gift cards !
Sorry.mods for such off-topic post 🙈

This raises a more serious issue , this has been addressed too many times here, and yet it seems it needs to be addressed again.Originally posted by vivek7593 View Post^^

Riding Gears, no matter how small or insignificant you feel it is , should always be bought after trying out the right size, inspecting for visible damages and if you feel good about it.
Even if you know the sizing and buy online the risk of a faulty product is always there, so avoid that by inspecting the piece you want to purchase first and then pay for it.
Agreed that shops might not be nearby, so you can always travel to a nearby city or locality where they sell it and try it out. If its not available in your state, get a good friend of your from another state to get the right size and inspect it and send via a good courier company.
Might cost you a bit more, but the satisfaction level is high and no need to spend extra time/money/energy on it again.
P.S: Vivek, just quoted your reply so i am clear on which issue i am talking about , the answer is in no way directed at anybody in particular, but instead a friendly reminder to all here.
Cheers

Re: Helmets
@ratish
Are you sure that it's broken? Or its coming apart like single components.
Coz,they are not stuck to helmet with any glue, the mouth piece holds the side protectors inside like lego blocks.
In fact all the inner linings are removable and the fitting is like lego blocks.
All I can see from the pic is, the lining is dislocated, just fit it back inside and the plastic flaps on the end go into the gap below the gasket, which holds it in place. That's what I understood from the pic, physical inspection by any LS2 owner can confirm this for you.
At-least that is how it fits in my MT Axxis Evo. I was scared the first time they came off just like that.Last edited by sriharsha_madineni; 02-19-2015, 05:53 PM.sigpic

Re: Helmets
I was thinking of getting a HJC or SOL with a budget of 10K. But there aren't that many good designs in that price range in either of the two brands. So, I was thinking to get a flat white or black helmet of either of the brands and get it vinyl wrapped something like an AGV Corsa( Aspirational, I know).. So I wanted to ask is this possible to vinyl wrap a helmet, has anyone done this before?

Youtube "carbon fibre helmet wrap" and see the results. I have intentions of trying the same too.Originally posted by wallpapers123 View PostI was thinking of getting a HJC or SOL with a budget of 10K. Re: Helmets
Initially when the mouthpiece came off, I thought the same way. But then it all started loosing its grip. If you look at this photo you'll see that the inner lining of thermacoal is also broken.Originally posted by sriharsha_madineni View Post@ratish

Actually I'm not able to spot the broken thermocol lining.Originally posted by ratish View PostInitially when the mouthpiece came off, I thought the same way. But then it all started loosing its grip. If you look at this photo you'll see that the inner lining of thermacoal is also broken.
All I can see is a glue gun mark, which is out of place.
Did you try inserting the plastic flap into the narrow gap behind rubber gasket? I mean it should fit inside like a glove. Is it loose even after doing that?
Say, is it coming off/dislocating if you shake the helmet violently?sigpic

Ah, it's pretty much useless now.Originally posted by ratish View PostMy bad. I'll upload an image with the crack visible.
Also apart from the crack. Its doesn't stay at one place even after placing it right position.
That's why it might not be staying in right position.sigpic
