This forum has some really good information and tips! Thanks to the xbhp community.

I have gone through all the 1300+ pages of this section :P and still counting! there is some great information in here!!

I am from hyderabad and its strange that i did not see a single LS2 or SOL or MT helmets on the Roads! most of the people dont wear helmets or stick with the Vega/Studds/Steelbird and some local made ones!

Is it due to the unavailability of those high quality helmets or ignorance! i guess its ignoranace, even i have a Vega eclipse helmet which is not at all comfortable and cause me head an neck pains! owing to the unavailability of size had to get a M! even i did not care much before but after going through this thread i have got that knowledge and now i am sure i can invest in good gear! like i read somewhere that one should spend minimum 25% of their bikes values on the gear! i guess its true!

So, do we get XS/S sizes in the LS2/SOL/MT brands in Hyderabad! i dont see any such sizes listed on snapdeal/amazon/flipkart!! only L and XL available!!

Please advice. Thanks for the great inputs guys! xbhp rockS!

SOL is available on "On the Rocks Adventure" shop. This shop is owned by Ritesh Ved, who hasn't got a very good reputation. When I dealt with him, I found him to be ok, but poeple usually ask you to stay clear of him. Annyway, he has a good collection of SOL and THH helmets. Don't buy his Zeus brand riding gear.

The shop is in the lane opposite to Midland Bakery.

Another shop is Dynamic riderz... Small shop. They have Spartan (Aspidia) riding gear and stock MTT helmets. Really poor stock, they will have only 5-6 helmets. But MTT is a good brand. You can try the helmets there for size and then order from the spartan website.

The shop is located in Humayun Nagar.

Aspida riding gear, MT Helmets and Kranos Helmets are available at Bike-o-Pedia. Always look for authorised resellers to get genuine products and warranty support. All SPG distributed helmets come with one year warranty. Some models of MT are imported in size XS and S and 2XL. All MT and Kranos are available in M,L and XL. Even if the dealer does not have it in stock, you can ask for assistance from the SPG HelpDesk [email protected] and request a piece be sent to the dealer - subject to stock availability.

Hey all, this is Parth from Hyderabad. I am using LS2 FF322 Voltage helmet, it is very sturdy, mid heavy, and reliable. it has a dark glass goggle visor for day use and normal clear visor, however I ordered the mercury tinted visor as well for enhancing the looks of the helmet. Check out my pics. The helmet looks very nice Vega JK 07 Motorcycle jacketClick image for larger version

This is Parth again, just to add to my reply, I also use MT Axxis Braking helmet (electric blue) which is DOT approved and has D ring fastener for extra safety. Trust me the helmet is comparatively lightweight yet very reliable one and due to its D ring is secured very well for safety purpose. posting a few pics of mine (not very good resolution although). I bought an extra iridium visor for enhancing the looks of the helmet.Click image for larger version

Hi, I am from Hyderabad as well, precisely Kukatpally area, but nowadays I see people wearing LS2 and good high end helmets. I am one of them of course. i see more riders with good helmets during office time going towards itech area. If you looking for M size MT helmets, I know a shop in KPHB area. its called bikeopedia. i got my MT helmet medium size from there only. I do not think that s size or xs size helmet is available in market. haven't seen anywhere. also you can check out adventure on the rocks (zeus shop).

Only in very dark areas, where there is no light at all and no street lights, you can put up the visor. cheers!!!

                      Hello guys,
I'm residing in Bangalore & currently in need of a good helmet with plenty of ventilation. I rounded up by selecting these two models -
                      1. AGV K3 SV multi rookie and
                      2. Airoh T600
I would very much like to have your opinions regarding comfort, quality and ventilation on the same. Also, my head size is 59cm and more of a round to square face. My previous helmet was a Vega Modular which looked great to a first time rider a couple of years back. I am now fed up with it and never want to go with the entry level helmets ever again. I wanted to either purchase a 3/4th one or a modular one again and while looking for a good helmet I stumbled on this forum. Saw the numerous posts only on helmets and was overwhelmed by it. I also got to know more about the various safety standards and the various helmets based on the price range. WOWieee!!!! Finally decided to go with the full face ones mentioned above.
My concern would be on the ventilation of these two models, their build quality, their availability here in Bangalore & after sales services.
Thank you for your valuable opinions.

                      Regards.
                      A Second time Rider.

Hi Captain, should I say Aye Aye captain

In the picture I am wearing simple Armstar boots with good high sole. as we cannot wear those specific motorbike racing boots daily for commute, I prefer leather boots always as it saves me from feeling the heat from the bike.

I also use high ankle boots often.

got my boots from snapdeal, you can check for armstar boots and get a variety of model, also delize boots available in snapdeal are very good.
