  • I have been following this thread for quite some time and it is an awesome informative thread. Anyway this is my first post.
@neil.jericho Helmets seem tight at first when we buy them but the padding becomes thin after a few weeks and the the helmet starts moving around. That is what happened to my cousin's Ninja 3G and my low end steelbird Bieffe. Is it the same for the MPA AGV helmet also or is it more rugged? Also can the AGV take daily usage/abuse and still last a few yrs in good condition as per your opinion? Thanks

Tht looks good, how good is the padding/ventilation, how much did you pay for it?

            • Recently a friend picked up a Rhyno for Rs. 1140. (chopra zindabaad)
According to him ,its a bit heavy, otherwise very good. Although he had some problems of fitting the visor when it came off suddenly,he considers it full VFM!!

              • Two facts I came across while googling.
                • Helmets in Indian climates need vents to make them comfortable
                • Manufacturers try to reduce manufacturing costs by keeping the shell size common.

Choosing a helmet with the wrong shell size padded with liners to suit the head size(which is what most dealers/manufacturers do) is not a good practice. The padding eventually becomes thin and he helmet starts moving around.
Does anyone have any idea abt good vented helmets in the sub Rs 2000/ range?

Youre right about helmets slowly adjusting but the padding on the MPA AGV hasnt thinned. It has become a more comfy fit now, its nowhere close to moving around. Its just been over a month since Ive bought mine, am very happy with it. Using it daily to office & back, my only criticism is that it fogs up if you breathe directly onto the visor while riding in this pre-monsoon cloudy climate. Then again youre not supposed to be breathing straight onto the visor. Overall big thumbs up.

                        • prashanth lobo & neil.jericho - Thanks for the info.
I totally forgot one aspect. Wind noise. Do these helmets (AM, MPA AGV) cut down on the noise at 80 - 100 kmph. Noise is a major irritant especially on long rides.
