but I am asking a little cheaper helmets(around 600-800).....frankly to say...can't afford a big budget right now.....but I have to buy a new one......the one I have is not usable now......

You can get a Studds helmet for that (maybe Studds Golf or Bravo). I bought Studds Bravo 5 years back and it was for Rs. 800. I am not sure but the rates shouldn't have changed much. Check out Steelbird. Maybe you will find one too there. Go for whatever helmet, but don't go for open face ones. Before Bravo I used a Rs. 450 local helmet but it was full face too. I crashed with it once and it saved my head and face and my life.

Your Chin and your 24carret face by which you are recognized is equally as important as the 2kgs of plum mass in ur head called BRAIN!!!
So if you're buying a half faced helmet then please give it a second thought!!..

yep half face is only good for city riding,its pretty useless in high speeds,not only that it wont protect your jaw but your head will float in the air at 60+ speed!

get a STEELBIRD BIEFFE SB14..the best helmet for a price of rs.750/-
the fitting is really good..and definitely worth the money

yep half face is only good for city riding,its pretty useless in high speeds,not only that it wont protect your jaw but your head will float in the air at 60+ speed!

I have felt it..though as a pillion!
Feels like sumone is trying his best to pop out the whole head off my neck!!!

So the half face one's can save ur head but moment u fell, feel free to start thinking face-less!!
I have seen cases, in which the half faced helmet dragged some awsome looks but finally when they were tested for what they are made, they proved worst. Full face-less popped eyes, cartilage of nose nowhere to be seen, teeth and lips vanished, all you can see is nerves,blood,bone and muscles, and that too at 30kmph in city ride fall...
So please rethink your desicion, It can bite you back, even before you realise u'll lose your identity, forever!!

Studds Bravo has a very loose fit. I prefer the Vega Dominator in that range, comes with venting too.

My brother has the Dominator. Good Shell and decent lining but BAD visor and the shape is very bad for speeds above 70 KMPH.

Yes, the Studds Bravo is a loose fit. Take one size lower.

@Ketan - the matte black one is a modular helmet where the jaw protection can be lifted up to make this a half faced helmet.. good for the smoking bunch if they are lazy to remove the helmet.. apart from the regular outer visor, this helmet's got an additional small visor which can be dropped down using a latch mechanism.

my friend picked the matte black finished one last weekend from balaji helmets here in bangalore. The sales personnel quoted Rs1700/- initially and sold it for Rs1400/-.
With hard bargaining you should be able to get it for Rs1200/- .(we tried the usual bargaining stunts but i guess the sales guy has seen too many of us to fall for such stunts)
the one with graphics was qouted Rs1950/- but was brought down to Rs1700/-.
