Any recommendations for a helmet in budget of around 7k and also where to buy it? I stay in Jayanagar, Bangalore. It shouldn't be flashy, just plain black will do, but it should be good as I am investing more than average on it.

Hi Guys,

I have Cross Matt black helmet. Its serving me well an is with me since more thn 3 years now. although I got its replacement, but i still like my cross one. The only problem with it is now since with age the matt paint has come off..
I have got many articles on normal paint jobs on helmets but where can i ( if possible ) find matt finish paints...

Any pointers in delhi will be great.

You can get the very good KBC / Sparx series helmets for that price. There are quite a few xbhpians including myself who use these helmets. They are available in Orion Motors (opposite Forum) and IIRC Balaji Helmets as well. The prices are from ~7k onwards. They apparently had a discount on certain models which brought down prices to 5.5k. Not sure if it is applicable now.

Hello All,
I would like to know which is the best helmet around for use in monsoons.I am asking this cause I wear prescription glasses and this leads to a lot of problems while riding with a helmet in the rain especially at night.This is what happens- when there is moderate to heavy showers the helmet visor gets fogged if completely closed and if opened even partially the specs get wet later fogged so that it becomes almost impossible to see clearly.It becomes dangerous riding in the dark so much so that couple of times I have narrowly missed falling into roadside ditches.

No helmet is completely fog proof. But order a few sachets of 'FOG TECH' online and any helmet becomes fog proof from the inside. And you want rain protection as well, use RAIN COAT from the same company. I normally coat the inside of my visor with Fogtech and the outer area with Raincoat. Then rain and fog ceases to be a bother.

I went to Orion motors, but the range of helmets they have is very limited, nothing there interested me.

really aggressive graphics & nice shape, but want to ask abt this second pic. is it possible to ride at nights with these anti glare visor?? i want to buy a new helmet too but confused whether to go for anti glare visor or not

which company is this? what make? and cost? actually i m not so good at helmets. have been using some VEGA helmet for last 5 yrs . it served me well. but now it completely mismatches with my new ride cos it shows its age now. many scratches are there, so it looks really old.

oh for that much amout, its not bad at all. rather a good deal. thanx mate, will do my own searching in mumbai & thane. if dont get it there then will try to buy online.

vega boolean amazing man what a nice and a comfortable helmet. & it is not heavy rather studds ryno is i have that one 2.
