Hello all, hope you guys are enjoying every moment of freedom on two wheels..

i own a AGV fvs helmet tht i use whenever i hit the racetrack,let me share my story..

i had subscribed to one of the leading biking magazine a few years ago and i came across a helmet that had all the cool gizmos in it, it could connect to the mobile phones enabling the rider to dial and receive calls, browse through radio in just a push of a button, the series of helmet was named '' the communicator'' , anyways i used this helmet for a while and one day i came across a cool video on 'youtube' where a guys had spikes on his stunt helmet.. and thus i had my inspiration itching to try it out..

Helmet Weight Issue

Hi Friends,

Need HELP & SUGGESTION.

Till now using a Glossy Black VEGA BOOLEAN Helmet but occasionally observed pain in the neck.
For this is weight an issue?

Honestly the use of Flip ons & Black visor is helpful in City Ride.
Mostly I ride around 50 kms to & fro (Home-Office-Home).

Planning to change it. LS2 is the one I have narrowed down.

Weight of VEGA LS2 = 1690 gms (Fixed Full mask)
Weight of BOOLEAN = 1390 gms
Weight of STUDDS = 1250 gms

Not getting plenty of options here in Kolkata.
Want to try out before purchasing hence ONLINE is not an option.

Yeah dude boolean is one of the crappiest designs ever...LS2 is a good option since iam personally using it...the fit is good so despite of the weight it is hardly noticiable....so definately a good buy...

As a matter of fact I have tried it also it was really comfortable.

Moreover though it is heavy the weight is evenly distributed and does not feel the weight unless it is measured.
The only flip side is it is fixed full mask and hence need to get used to.

But tell me honestly is it good for daily use?
The original ones comes with tinted black glass which I am changing to transparent ones. Hope this is OK.

1) perfecto on the transparent one.....helps a lot in the night time when there is a need of visibility between flies and highway potholes.

2) Yeah the LS2 is also heavy but the aerodynamics of the helmet does not affect any sort of problem when riding.... I mean the air flow is high end so you dont feel the weight.

3) Best for daily use since they have double protection cheek pads which are removable and washable...Ventilation is top notch only when you open the vents which are located on the helmet...I have LS2 Phobia Red/Black combo...

4) I would like to put this in caps.. PLEASE WEAR A FULL FACE HELMET...IT PROVIDES OVERALL PROTECTION TO YOUR SKULL...IN A HALF FACE HELMET ,YOUR JAW IS VULNERABLE.... YES IF YOU HAVE PLANS FOR DONATING YOUR JAW AND TEETH THEN YOU CAN GO AHEAD WITH HALF FACE HELMET....
ALL THE RUBBISH THAT IS SAID REGARDING FULL FACE THAT IT AVOIDS BREATHING AND CREATES PROBLEM ARE ALL BULLSHIT IN FIRST PLACE....ALL HELMETS COME WITH BREATH VENTS NEAR THE JAW SECTION WHICH ENSURES THERE IS AIR SUPPLY AND GARBAGE SMELL OF THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF YOU....

Buddy go for full face and not detachables ones they are loose and might break in a accident......

Yes i agree to this all the way i own 3 helmets all of them full face theres no alternative to a full mask.here are my 3 lids.
1> MRC 313.
2> STUDDS RHYNO.
3> VEGA OFFROAD.

The variety of helmets is extremely limited here in Kolkata. Most of them are crapy chinese helmets like mrc,mhr and what not. I have one mrc too and i am changing mine in the next few days. Please do get yourself a fixed full face helmet. If nothing else suits you, at least get the Studds Rhyno. LS2 is pretty expensive here in comparison to other cities. LS2 Phobia is around 2.5-3k i guess, but frankly speaking I absolutely do not like this range of LS2s and Cross at all. The models slightly above this range are much better overall. Oh and yes, all the LS2s and MRC,MHR etc stuff are manufactured at the same place, so go figure it out

Guys... how are boolean helmets sold by Vega. These were the only ones I could find which come with flip ons and visor. Is anyone using boolean helmets. Let me kow how they are???

Dont go for boolean...highly unsafe....very poor quality and only has style..
Safety not at all preferred.....go for full face or non detachables ones...they do not break in shock....chances of boolean breaking is more!!!!

Finally got my LS2 today... its LS2 diamond.... Loving it... the fit is good and airflow is also good...
