Finally got my LS2 today... its LS2 diamond.... Loving it... the fit is good and airflow is also good...

Congrats mate....LS2 is one of the preferable brands in India...cost wise they are affordable too!!!

Dont go for boolean...highly unsafe....very poor quality and only has style..
Safety not at all preferred.....go for full face or non detachables ones...they do not break in shock....chances of boolean breaking is more!!!!

While I can't speak for the Boolean since I don't really know what standards it is built to, flip-ups are quite popular with a segment of riders - and if they are properly made, do offer similar levels of safety and protection. There are many that meet DOT and ECE standards too.

The 'flip-side' is that these are often heavier than regular full face lids.

Yes i agree to this all the way i own 3 helmets all of them full face theres no alternative to a full mask.here are my 3 lids.
1> MRC 313.
2> STUDDS RHYNO.
3> VEGA OFFROAD.

The variety of helmets is extremely limited here in Kolkata. Most of them are crapy chinese helmets like mrc,mhr and what not. I have one mrc too and i am changing mine in the next few days. Please do get yourself a fixed full face helmet. If nothing else suits you, at least get the Studds Rhyno. LS2 is pretty expensive here in comparison to other cities. LS2 Phobia is around 2.5-3k i guess, but frankly speaking I absolutely do not like this range of LS2s and Cross at all. The models slightly above this range are much better overall. Oh and yes, all the LS2s and MRC,MHR etc stuff are manufactured at the same place, so go figure it out

Yes u are definitely correct . In fact came across one LS2 Flip with Visor @ 7500/- which is beyond my budget.
However the weight distribution of LS2 is definitely beeter and fits very snugly for me.

Hence in all probability I am going for the Glossy Black LS2 with transparent visor around mid May.
Should be my birthday gift of White ZMR.

As a matter of fact I have tried it also it was really comfortable.

Moreover though it is heavy the weight is evenly distributed and does not feel the weight unless it is measured.
The only flip side is it is fixed full mask and hence need to get used to.

But tell me honestly is it good for daily use?
The original ones comes with tinted black glass which I am changing to transparent ones. Hope this is OK.

Get the LS2, am using a LS2 for a while now and never experienced any neck pain.

Man choice of helmets changes from person to person I'm giving brief info on my 3 lids....it'll be helpful to you... then decided what will be suitable for you......

1> MRC 313 : heaviest of the three ....padding is best among three removable and washable.....snug fit gives a secured feeling....ventilation is good ......price 1500/-
2> STUDDS RHYNO: Best among all indian made full face helmet weight 1450 gm price 1295/- .... gud fit gud ventilation....ISI marked....
3> VEGA OFFROAD: Lightest off the 3 ....fibre glass shell.....you wont ever sweat in it....and safety though not tested by me heard from people that passed crash tests with flying colors ....ISI marked but they are imported by vega .....price 1700/-

Hope it'll help you decide.....and if you ask me i'll tell you go for studds *Rhyno white model it'll be best suitable with your ride....

I ve been using the offroader since 3 weeks and it's pretty lightweight,stable at high speed[doesnt make ur head wobble].The ventilation is great ,u'll hardly break a sweat .My is the Graphix one in white so it's truly an eye catcher... it's narrow in the front so the cheeks get stuffed .But overall very good helmet seems strong also.

Yep LS2 is a good brand ...
Another tip i would like to suggest...
Before making the purchase have a small test ride with the helmet on....see if you can ride comfortably....see how the visibility is!!.
Check if you can move your head and view oncoming traffic.
If the helmet is heavy then try another one...These are minor lookouts but essential when you use the helmet for daily use.....

I think i know in which shop you saw that helmet. He is probably the only one selling that helmet in Kol. A small tip--that same helmet was recently bought by someone i know for 5000/-. The price could have gone down a bit.

You have got yourself the best Indian manufactured helmet. Has the best quality shell and padding i have come across, much better than the LS2s and Cross flooding the market off late. Wonder why Steelbird is not providing supplies to dealers.

BTW, can you please ask and let me know the price of the visor+visor mount and whether they have brought out the XL size lids or not? These GPones run a size lower usually
