How are Sparx helmets? One of the helmet I tried out fits me perfectly, costs around 6k.

Can anyone help me out to get a clear visor for LS2 helmet. Actually there are 2 models of LS2 helmets and they have got different kinds of visors. One model had a little bigger fitting ring and I couldn't get it here in Hyderabad. It is fine for me to purchase it online too.

Can someone help me with shops in Hyd or online stores to get the same?

Optional visor is available for extra cost (not expensive), it cannot be lifted fully, check it before buying.

There are three types of vega offroad helmets as far as i know w/o visor 1400rs.with retractable goggles visor 1700( i have one).with full visor not fully retractable price not known to me....

And my father is stupid, says why do I need such costly helmets, why can't I do with one around 200-300 rupees, he says helmets are only to avoid being caught by the police. When I argue about the protection of such helmets he says why would I need to ride such a way to meet with an accident, ride carefully and you'll never need a helmet.

Dude, cool down.. Although your father acts stupid indeed, you shouldn't be humiliating him in public..

And, my dad was not a stupid then. We went to buy a helmet, saw a Vega Boolean (which I intended to buy), but Dad said they looked cheap, so went for an LS2.

Cool down yaar !! You can educate your dad instead of abusing him ?
As far as love for costlier helmets goes, I myself have seen my friend who had terrible accident on his Pulsar two months back @100 kph speed, the helmet bore huge cuts & scratches and he escaped with superficial injuries. After getting his bike repaired he bought the same helmet which is just Rs.650/- (Studds Chrome), he bought it b'cos it gives great view and is one of the lightest as well. So you can get safe helmets for less too.

Easy way to educate your dad? Tell him to bang his head into a wall(think of it don't ask him,lol) It hurts? Now if you run you can almost make your skull bleed? What would happen while driving at 30-40kmph(which btw is slow)? You obviously need a good helmet.

I have a SparX helmet. Fits well and has really good finish. Pretty silent when the eye brow vents are closed. Not too heavy also. DOT and ECE22.05 certified.

Check webbikeworld for reviews. SparX and KBC are from the same manufacturer.
