      • @ALL who are worried abt the LS2 helmets without DOT certification

Well, don't worry. as long as the ECE certification(E9 on the chin strap and ECER at the back) is there its as good as DOT.DOT,SNELL and ECE are certification for their respective countires.so the helmet will have the sticker of the country where its exported to. Same goes with AGV,KBC or any other Intl. Brand.
So don't worry your helmet isn't "fake"

Err....without offense to anyone, this is not entirely accurate.

The DOT certificate or the FMVSS 218 standard is applicable to the USA only and is mandated by law in most of it's helmet wearing states. The SNELL certification is awarded by a private organization dedicated to higher standards and is generally considered superior to the DOT certification but is not mandated by law.

The ECE certificate is issued in Europe primarily but is also accepted as a standard in a few non-European countries. However, it is fast gaining acceptance as the best available and enforceable standard as it requires batch testing of helmets during production before they are sold. This in my opinion is definitely superior to random testing of helmets after they are in the sales and distribution system.

Other standards exist too like the ACU Gold certification which is required by most if not all UK race tracks, which certifies helmets for racing purposes and are therefore subject to higher testing and certification standards.

In the present case, either the DOT or ECE certification will suffice for our everyday use - provided that the helmet is genuine!!

That's some nice info shared by you guys. I have read somewhere in the forum itself about a mail from Marushin quoted by some member (whom I don't remember) pointing out SHARP 5 star rating for their models. this is a stringent rating which even Shoei couldn't obtain as per Marushin and they have it for two of their models.

Also anybody here bought Nuvo helmets? If so can anyone provide a review. If someone have already given a review, a post link would be helpful

I don't think that Marushin sells their helmets in India, do they?

No! but the Daijya helmets available at DSG are said to be a chinese replica of Marushin Designs. AFAIK The member who posted this info put it as a reply from Marushin regarding his question to Marushin about Daijya being sold here with Marushin design.

Inderji, that's what I said about. Here is the post I mentioned.
According to this Marushin claims Daijya is not theirs! I'm not sure if this is true but anybody with much better info please share here.

Its all being discussed in this very thread. So if anyone care to go back couple of hundred pages, you're bound to come across them. I read them, but in no mood to search for it. Anyway you are right. Marushin has clearly stated that it has no connection with Daijya.
