Aspida Nemesis and BBG both have very good rain liners.

Venom is doing good in the market and are very responsive.

Venom is not perfect fit as per various reviews.. and also no idea regarding what protectors used.. is it knox or sastec?? Level 1 or level 2?? Also BBG is not specifying what kind of protectors they are using.. any idea on this??? The durability of the jacket is based on the textile material or mesh??

BBG and Venom use regular CE certified protectors, no Knox or Sastec here.
Durability is based on both if the jacket is made out of both.
Textile is much more durable and abrasion resistant compared to mesh.

recommendd you to go with the tornado Pro L2 jacket. Can vouch for it since have been using it (first-hand experience). The Knox micro lock level 2 protectors are great protectors.
Coming to rain protection. Spartan and Rynox both come with the twin-zip mechanism to counter capillary action causing water-seepage. So both are good there. But the material used by Rynox is Reissa (membrane) which provides waterproofing up to 7000mm and remains breathable while the one by Spartan is up to 5000mm and is the basic raincoat material and non-breathable.

You can make a pick from either of the two. Nemesis comes with Sastec and Rynox with Knox Microlock.

Try DJ helmets or The Purple Store in Cochin for the higher end gear.

                Hi,

I need some advice...I have always wanted to ride long distance but never had a good bike or time ! Now that I have bought a pre owned Benelli 600, I have ridden 2000kms on it past three months. Bikes lovely , but a bit heavy.

My riding partner is my wife, who loves going long distance as much as me. We have got good helmets( MT and HJC), Jackets for both( BBG) , Gloves ( BBG). I have ordered riding jeans with Kevlar from caferacer. Hers came , mine is on the way ( will send the pics once it reaches). Now I am not sure about the shoes.

I tried on the BBG Riding boots ( the half ones)...and I found it to be very uncomfortable. I am using Woodlands currently. I know the riding boots are reinforced, etc etc , but they are not cheap either. I was wondering whether I should just stick to the Woodlands hiking boots, which is just as tough but doesnt have the reinforcements.

I never cross 120 km ( the only stretch that you can do in Kerala is between Thrissur and Palakkad but is dotted with speed traps.

I have been using solace boots and tried using my roomie's bbg racerboots. Even though from outside they look almost same(as both are probably made in the same place abroad) the fit and finish in bbg boot is very poor compared to solace boots. The inner liners are some el cheapo materials and the most negative thing about the boots are their insoles. They are horrible. Didn't expect it from a boot that costs 8500 bucks.

1- Shima makes superb quality rainproof gloves, though at a decent price. Evo 2 and D tour WP are good at 3700 and 4600 respectively.

2- BBG rain gloves, didn't find them too well stitched.

3- Solace rain gloves are very good too, quite well priced for ₹2700. Have hard protectors.

4- Didn't find DSG very good , they have cracked after 3 rides.

                      5- Spartan not used yet.

New brand - RE Polar gloves, but they are as pricey as Shima. Raida RainX, this one is leather and still being tested by friends, seems good.

Thank you so much. Regarding RE how well this can take up the rain?
And Shima, all the dealers are having 2016 manufactured product, can i buy this?

RE ones, friend is still testing. They have fleece inside, so if you are looking for warm rainy days, don't buy.

Shima D tour WP is good for warm rainy days, yes you can get 2016 ones.

Shima is a good brand. you can go for it.

I am not sure if you should go for a 2016 mfg as it may be a dead stock or some stock being dumped to India as it was not sold abroad. 2016 is too old.
It's 2018 buddy. At least check for a 2017 mfg. This is my personal opinion.

You can also check Spartan gloves, they are good too.
