May be the cops here fear robbers

But one practical concern which I face is, it comes to my eyes from sideways and feels irritating and deviates my concentration from road. I am using one from spg, which is otherwise good on other aspects like comfort etc.

Edit: I don't know about the situation in delhi.
shadowgun is correct, not just for Delhi alone.
Many robberies here in Ahmedabad also have been committed on black pulsars, therefore the police have made it their mission to check every black pulsar 200CC and over. mansuryayas also had such an experience very recently. I would suggest keeping all papers handy (that goes regardless of which bike one has though).

Dainese will be opening its first store in Bangalore on 7th in Orion Mall. It will offer dainese and agv products both textile and leather. Good news for the whole community.

No use if you think cost will be low :/ , i have mailed them regarding 'super speed textile jacket' and guess what they says !

"The Dainese products are 100% imported products from the factory in Italy hence, we have to pay customs and additional freight charges for the imports. We also incur taxes here and with complete consideration for the value of the brand, we have worked out the pricing and we are still on par with the international rate. If an individual would intend to purchase the same products internationally, there would be additional duty for the product as a single item ultimately costing more."

cheaper idea will be get it from revzilla.

I dont think that buying from revzilla will be cost effective if not ordered in bulk. The shipping charges itself are around 35USD. If you add custome duties and taxes, then the additional cost would be anywhere from 3.5K - 5K.

They quoted Super Speed Textile price - 27,999 INR
don't know shipping charges included or not...

Revzilla price - 349.95 $
+65.98 USD shipping
415.93 = 26,010 INR

i don't think any extra will be charged , though i haven't bought anything from revzilla.

Edit -

Yes you are right custom will be extra , confirmed from friend...

The 35USD I mentioned was the shipping cost for some items I was checking. Silly of me to assume every item will have the same shipping charges and custom duty

Revzil doesn't ship products overseas below $300.
I had checked with them last month and got this reply.

Ride safe and have fun.

Sorry mate no idea as I have not purchased any goods. Even the persons who have purchased have mixed comments. Some of them have been charged 10-20%, others have been charged 3-4% and there are still others who have not been charged a single penny!!!. General consensus seems to be that goods amounting to less than 10K INR are not charged duty (or very less duty) and those greater than 10-15K INR are charged heavily.
Therefore, I think you will have to decide whether you want to get the item from abroad and be prepared to pay the maximum amount on duty. Also a quick mail to the retailer inquiring about the approximate duty amount might give some answers.
By the way does not sportbiketrackgear.com have the option to deliver goods directly at the door by pre-paying the custom charges at check-out?

No they don't have , i have mailed them regarding that and support says "I do not know what the customs duty charges will be. That will be handled on your end once it reaches you."

Yo, this is not exactly a riding gear question, but somewhat similar.

My current office shoes have given up after taking a lot of beating by Dirt, Asphalt, Sidewalks, Debris etc. Currently I have been wearing "Metro" brand Square toed shoes (Also known as Pilgrim shoes). They have been out of fashion for a long time now but I just feel comfortable wearing them even while riding. I am thinking of switching over to Oxford shoes. What brand "sturdy and durable" would you guys recommend for everyday riding?

Recently got my hands on the LS2 mesh jacket. Have to say, it does not disappoint. It has 2 inner layers i.e. a waterproof one and a thermal one. The quality is solid. The guards are well in place. The visibility stripes are subtle but very bright under direct light. Will come back with images and a full review later.
Ride safe!

I am in a big dilemma as to which saddle bags to buy for my 390 Duke. Have been going through a lot of threads and reviews and I gave up my initial decision to buy the cramster colt because they are not of great quality and the volume is a bit less for my needs.
I need the bags for a 25 day Zanskar-ladakh trip and also a few shorter trips before that. I have a lot of photography gear that I will be carrying along with other stuff. And also It will be great to have a bag in which I can carry a 5 litre Jerry can for petrol.
I was looking forward to the Rynox Nomad V2 but a review states them to a bit too big for the duke is that so ? and I don't think I can carry the jerry cans with those bags. I wont be riding with a pillion so thats not an issue. Also they are out of stock right now and I have a trip planned for next week.
Is the Viaterra Claw a good option ?
I am getting the Rynox optimus S tank bag. What I couldnt find was whether it has straps to tie it to tank cause I dont trust the suction cups. ?
When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D
