If the budget for a riding boot (with protectors) isn't available at present, basketball shoes are the next best thing.
Ankle length, well padded, flat soled for proper grip on the footpegs.
Basketball shoes are made of hard rubber in most cases, thereby withstanding the abuse of toe shifter.
Check Fila Isonzo (Motor Sport) online for good deals.

Yeah I agree. I have the Fila Isonzo. And I find it really good for gear shifting! But they're a bit stiff to walk around in! Click image for larger version

I currently use Thor knee guards.

Check out Biking Brotherhood Gears, you will be decently surprised with their gear... I picked up leathers from them and they were almost on par with the Gerrick leathers I owned previously. They have a Facebook page, the owner Ansar, is very down to earth and will even customise it for you if you need. [IMG][/IMG] sorry for the messy room.

Guys. Need to buy a new pair of gloves. Mainly for use in city. Budget 1k to 2k.
Need to have good ventilation. Easy movement. My current one is cramster which doesnt allow easy movement of my thump.

You missed out Spartan Iccarus/Atlas and ADV jakets from TBG, those are the better entry level jackets as compared to others.

                    Cheers

Bought a pair of tbg street floves from lets gear up bangalore. Nice store. A lady runs it. Have to say she has ample amount of knowledge about motorcycles. Tested it yesterday itself. 700 km journey from bangalore to kollam. The gloves is pretty good. I will recommend these to anyone. Especially for city use. Coz even in the scorching heat of tamilnadu, it gave me no problems. The store owner told me it was water proof in slight drizles. But even though there was slight rain in the last leg of my journey, didnt want to test it and ruin it. Will give 4 star for comfort. 4 star for safety.

Guys any reviews on the farely recently launched DSG Evo riding jacket?

Went and tried it on, fit is good.

Other options seem to be cramster breezer 4.0, Spartan Icarus and Rjays Swift.

I am using it for some days its VFM jacket. All liners are removable but personally i didn't like the quality of rain liner but again it's 5K jacket so it can be tolerated. Also i think jacket is quiet heavy too. Other than this it is good jacket, ventilation is ok.
