I am not sure about which jacket vents how much air because I am sure that any difference, if there is, is negligible. What I would suggest though is to judge mesh based on the size of the pores. Smaller the better. Lesser dust inside. Whatever air ventilates in tends to be cooler thanks to the higher pressure caused by smaller pores.
Aspida Helios, Rynox Tornado Pro and Rynox Air GT all come with back protectors. Both the Rynox Jackets have CE Approved Back Protectors. While Helios provides a Dual Density Foam Armor (It does not mention anything about it being CE Approved).

Mesh of Air GT and Helios both have bigger pores as compared to the Mesh used in Tornado. Also Tornado Mesh felt to be more sturdy than Air GT and Helios. But ofcourse it is not fair to compare the Air GT with either the Helios or Tornado Pro given the MRP of both these products.

Yes, you're right, I mistook Air-GT to Tornado; I've Air GT which is fully mesh construction like Helios. Thank you for correcting me

8k was fair enough buddy ...7456 km. you got so particular about it..hehe :P
I just got confused going through the 2 posts so thought of asking you to clear my confusion. Anyway will be going with a friend to pick up either the Helios or the Tornado Pro by tomorrow.

So the Rynox have and the Aspida doesn't. Foam would hardly be of any help. They are not even CE rated. But Helios does give the option to upgrade to the level 2 from KNOX I believe at extra cost, which mean more than twice impact absorption of level 1 protection. I would pay for that !

I believe most jackets out there can accommodate an upgraded armor (KNOX or SasTec). So this option of upgrade is available for almost all jackets.
So basically if one has to pay extra for those upgradeable back protectors, one is free to buy any jacket.

Even the DSG Evo which I use has CE-rated armour in all required areas apart for the back..Where a foam sheet has been inserted. A bit irritating as I now need to buy the back protector insert separately but cannot find it anywhere 😞. The ones I came across all cost over 2k on the internet. I guess asking for a totally vfm 5k jacket to include a CE-rated back protector is asking for bit too much 😁.

Heres some info.maybe will help someone decide.
            Below is reply from Rynox

"To essentially help you out with the difference in Tornado and Air GT. I
have mentioned below a few points.

            1) Tornado comes with Reissa Water proofing which is superior as
compared to water-proofing material used in Air GT
            2) Back Protector in both are the same.
            3) The Liner comes with a twin zip mechanism to ensure water-proofing.
The Liner can be worn separately.
            4) Tornado comes with re-inforcement of DuPont Cordura at impact areas-
            Shoulder and Elbow.
            5) Air GT is however lighter in weight and more designed towards
            short/city riding.
            6) Air GT comes with Tafetta Water-proofing and not Reissa.
            "
Ofcourse tornado pro comes with knox as aganst tornado.

I use sastec level 2 with my DSG Nero. They are a perfect fit. Got them with my TBG ADVBREED jacket. Not sure if the KNOX level 2 goes in. If they do they were available at outdoortravelgear last time I checked.

Yes. I have even seen the DSG Evo at 5k I guess. The elbow and should armors are CE-rated as rightly pointed out by you. I guess the Rynox Air GT comes with Elbow-Should-Back all to be CE rated @ 5550/-. I guess even the Icasrus comes with CE-rated back protectors. You can check on their respective websites. Icuras again is around 5k. But Icarus does not come with a thermal liner I guess, while the rynox and dsg does come with thermal liners.

                        Hi guys ,

The monsoons have started in Kerala and I'm planning quite a lot of rain riding ,I have got a pinlock insert for my MT helemet , an A* apex drystrar gloves and a TCX Goretex boots .
I'm on the hunt for a rainsuit and came across the Revit Pacific H2O rain suit ,SBKstore.in , 10k .
I want something to go over my riding jacket and riding pants .
I'm looking forward for your inputs , I ride a 390 and intend to a 200-400 kms in the rain ,any cheaper alternatives will do the trick ?

                              Update:
The tbg street gloves which I had bought on jan 21st developed a small problem. One of the finger protectors had begun to come off, so I went to lets gear up and they said they will attempt to repair the same.
2 days later when I had to pick up the repaired gloves, they said they will be replacing the gloves under warranty!
So after six months of usage, now I have a new pair of gloves :P
