      Pros:
Extremely comfortable to wear - unlike riding boots. You can walk fair distances without feeling any sort of discomfort.
Steel toe and Ankle protection is good.
Waterproof (I haven't tested this aspect yet!)
      Light Weight
      Bloody good grip
      Cons:
The reflector at back could have been of better quality.
The smooth surface means that the gear shifter tends to slip of the shoe sometimes - but I guess this is because I am not used to the shoe yet.
Lack of a shift protector on left boot.

All in all it is worth the 3420 Rs it cost me.
Will post a more detailed review of water and cold resistance soon.

Oh boy, Mithun, I've been eyeing for a boot for a very long time now and especially the ORAZO I-bis, so far I've gotten like a mixed bag review. Please do, waiting for a detailed review.

      My pointers

      1. Waterproof/water resistance tendency + grip in those situations rain, etc
      2. How the boot handles the gear shifter rips, meaning any visible blotch in the leather or change in shape due to repeated shifter abuse.
      3. You said rear reflector could be better, any loose stitches or any hotspots of ill workmanship interior or exterior.
      4. Waiting eagerly for the above.

And about grip. Its good in most places, but as i do some trekking too, the grip is obviously less than the trekking shoes. But the shoes serves there purpose very well.

I am observing little scarring in the place which comes in contact with the gear lever. Hope it doesnt spoil the surface of the shoe. Want it to last atleast a year.
As I've requested Mithun, I request you too to give me some pointers for the below, thanks.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Also need to buy the good quality Bungee Cords too. Searched GP road but wasn't able to find the good ones.
You can get knee guards starting in the range of 600 all the way upto 5K. eBay would be your best bet, but beware FAKE stuffs are a home for eBay especially these cheap knock-off stuffs.

Cramster comes in around 1.5 and an good AXO pad costs close to 2k and so does FOX stuff.

BUNGEE CORDS: I'd personally recommend, when you purchase bungee cords or knee pads, not to go for eBay or any online retailers unless it's a manufacturer certified or their own site.

I've bought bungee cords from eBay and they are the most !@#$@# up of all bungee cords I've ever used. After their first tie up with my bag, just after a few kms, I saw my baggage leaning to one side of the bike, upon inspection, the bungee cord was so @#$#@# up, it was about to give up and literally hanging in threads.

Get a better branded one, which gives you peace of mind, yes they are costly than those cheap rip offs, but safety of you, your baggage and your bike is paramount.

        Cheers!

Sure VJ. Shall post my experiences soon.
Regarding point (3) , it more of a gripe than a defect. The reflectors in both the boots are not of the same size and stitching is a tad inconsistent. It is not something that should prevent you from buying it though.

Rest of the boot is of good quality and it can be easily worn for your daily use. (Speaking of the Picus here and not the Ibis - you have to be a bit more crazy to wear Ibis to office )

+1 Ibis is gonna be only for touring. For office purposes, I guess my battered up Bata Power will do fine I guess.

It's always cool when you wear worn up and dirty stuffs to office

You can go for the Cramster Velocity 2.0 which comes in around 4950, which comes with all you've asked knee protectors, good construction etc. Best bang for the buck, and a few of my friends use it for a long while now, so you can go for it.

The best glove in your range is DSG Revive Gloves
Full grain leather construction, has carbon fiber knuckle protection and it comes in around 1,990 bucks.

I guess these will fit your bill perfectly, considering your budget. There are some more brands too, but they are all costly. Outlined the best and according to your budget.

                        Cheers!

                        • Nolan helmets from planet dsg

Well, well, well. Indeed the automotive scene has changed so much, so does that gear.

NOLAN Helmets the one that Casey Stoner and Marco Melandri wear in their races, is hitting the shores of India officially, by our own PlanetDSG. Hand a chat with them yesteray, best part, the lids are gonna be priced at around 12k even the replica ones. Now that's a good niche to place their products in that range.

Seriously a fantastic move by DSG.

I have a good feeling these are gonna sell like hot cakes don't you agree?

also can someone tell me if the armor in riding gear has a shelf life??

Either the guy was confusing or i heard him wrong. He mentioned the jackets are not sold in pune, the mentioned dealer does not sell Rjays Jackets?? that was bit strange, i just called up Sohail (Pune Rjays dealer mentioned on bachoo Motors website) he said the jacket (RJAYS SWIFT) would be available next week...

Whats the confusion? has anyone come across the same?
