      • RJays Octane rain use review!

Review of RJays Octane Mesh Riding Jacket in rains: Hello guys here is a short report/review of my RJays Octane Riding Jacket usage in rains (i.e with inner waterproof liner attached)

Its just been 2 days since it has started raining in Goa & boy it rains heavily here. As I wear my riding jacket every single time I ride, I thought of using it in rains too. So quickly installed the inner nylon rain liner & started riding. The jacket performed fairly good like normal rain wear in light-medium showers. But the real performance was seen in heavy showers where the jacket managed to keep dry quite well with a bit of bearable water quantity seeping in through the cuffs.

Apart from that I'm quite happy with it. But I will not prefer to use it regularly except for dedicated rides in rains, because the condura part along with rest of jacket get soaked in rain water very badly making it heavy & very very tedious in drying it. Also the liner inside is clipped on the cuffs via strap on clips unlike chains on the main vest area. Hence wearing & removing it becomes a very tedious affair too.

Thank you. Hope this was of help to you'll. In case of any more details feel free to ask

What type of rain liner are you in need? Because different jackets have different rain liners installed in them. So it's a wise decision to go to the manufacturer or retailer who retails that jacket and ask him for a replacement liner. As you know jackets have their own liners which comes as as standard with them.

              Cheers!

Where did you source it from? If it's from an Indian retailer you're saved, if overseas, then you have to pay for shipping and lot of headache stuff. Try getting back to the retailer from where you purchased the jacket and ask him if you can get a replacement liner. I guess they will be able to help you out. Replacements do come as accessory, so do get it checked out.

                  Cheers!

I've used it in heavy rains and it worked very well keeping my hands dry. It was just ok for cold but not that great. Would prefer better insulation from cold.
