None of the gloves would provide you 100% water proof unless and until the same is complemented with a good waterproof Jacket ...if you are wearing a normal jacket with a liner and a short gloves will allow water to seep in. Instead get a full gloves & a supporting jacket to serve your purpose.

I faced an accident recently, and my Jacket is damaged on the left arm...
Only the cloth is damaged, so I dont think I need to buy a new one...
Where can I get it repaired in Mumbai

Its Cramster Breeze, Can I get the full left arm replaced from Carmster for a certain amount ???






The Gray part in the Pics, is the cloth that faced a lot of Friction hence damaged(Kinda Melted)...

Dude - the conditions will not allow you to switch boots every time you come across water. Waterproof boots that don't go up till the shins at least will not serve any purpose in water crossings. That said, most riders manage Leh without any special footwear - the most common being our desi Timberlands!

Exaclty Sunny ji, but you got me wrong. I meant, the use of gumboots throughout the trip, and get back to wearing a normal waterproof boot out of the Leh area, when returning back. Not swapping to and fro when riding in and around the viccinity of the pass. Leh riders would grenade me for that idea, for sure.

I've heard from many Leh guys who climb with a normal boot, with just boot rain cover over them, and some with just gum boots alone coupled with pillion.

Guys i bought Rjays sprint @3500 from orion motors.........and VJ i like the idea of using the gum boots around the pass, and will carry this along as a regular waterproof boot....that would be a cost effective solution with all the protection....

You dont rebuild a helmet after a crash, same goes with a safety jacket. It has done its work and the tear is also big enough. I suggest go for a new jacket. Please check the inner pads, and i hope you are okay as the jacket has taken the beating.

Usually, the manufacturer is not held responsible, unless it's a manufacturing defect, from their side. That's one.

Now, since you've scrapped your jacket, I don't think the manufacturer themselves would replace the torn/scrapped part, even if you pay him some money to do that. All he'd insist you is to buy a new one.

That being said, you always have locals wallas . First inspect how the elbow armor is, if it has taken some serious hit and ripped apart, apart from the jacket shell, then you better change your jacket. If the armor is intact, just do some patch work, no other choice. I even suspect tailors patch working for such jackets because it's really hard to do anything on jackets other than machine stitching, but do give it a try.

I know many buddies who wear a worn DSG jacket for miles and miles and still going strong. Wearing torn jacket is kinda cool you know, if you ask me

Orion is maybe sourcing from Bachoo Motors themselves, maybe that could be one or they're sourcing directly from AU. All said, we are being looted big time in RJays products and that's for sure.

Why i even nit-pick this is because Now-a-days the Rjays from Bachoo motors are 'Made in China' one's instead of Made in Pakistan as earlier and I am not very satisfied with the quality of my Octane Jacket. Plus discounts on entire range makes me wonder.

My dear friend the tag 'Made in China' does not mean the products are of lower quality. All brands like Alpinestars, JoeRocket, Shoei, HJC etc etc have 'Made in China' on them.

As far as the drop in pricing of RJays Jackets from Bachoo Motors is concerns it is because Mr Zulfi is passing all the import duty benefits he is getting & also the benefit of lowered cost when ordered in bulk as Indian bikers have very well accepted RJays jackets as they are mesh & very apt for Indian riding conditions. Specially RJays Swift & Octane are the HOT sellers
