    Cool. Bike accessories too?

    I'm looking for

    1. Progrip tank pad for r15 LE v2.0
    2. Bike cover (with yamaha written on it)
    3. Gloves (preferably mesh and in red/black or white/black good knuckle and finger) .. budget INR 2500
    4. Race stand ( what is better? with wheels .. without wheels?) . I got to park in my apartment where kids could lift the stand.
    5. Can I fit r15 with fazer mirrors.. they kinda look sharp?

Sorry about that, bike accessories is one's personal choice and I can't help you out here, maybe others can. That said, what you intend to buy is solely your decision based upon your need and the bike's need, so think twice before you make any upgrade.

Have any trusted pointers that'll ship to Hyderabad? Can't seem to find on internet.
TRITON is a textile jacket too, but it's not breathable, meaning it won't allow air flow, whereas a mesh jacket provides good air flow. Try getting something like Maze or Nero from DSG which offers good ventilation during hot climate and provide adequate protection in winter.

I have no idea about any shops in Hyderabad that do that service. Sorry.

      Cheers!

      • PANTS:
Ive finalized on the DSG Nero waterproof pants which i intend to use as an allweather riding pants aswell.

        JACKET:
I'm looking for an all weather jacket here and i'm Confused between a
        Rjay's Swift
DSG Maze (more inclined to this one)
        DSG Nero and the
        DSG Phoenix.

It says they're "Water repellant" but how good are they in the heavy rain?
Would water seep in through the zippers?

Checked out the Cramster ones but none seamed appealing to me.

        BOOTS:
Also thinking of going for the Axo Primata riding boots. IF anyone is using them how good and durable are they?

        GLOVES:
        DSG Acqua Waterproof Gloves

Can normal gloves be used hassle free in the rain without water seeping in and wetting ur palms to make you uncomfortable? I was more inclined towards DSG Revive, DSG Carbon,
        DSG Primal Gloves,
Also would the leather be degraded if its used constantly in the heavy rain?

        Need some suggestions people

            PANTS
I think as of now you're the first guy to officially state your intent to purchase the NERO ALL SEASON PANTS. Do let us know without fail your review of how the quality is, how the entire pant fits and any excessive threads and general thoughts

            JACKETS
Regarding jackets. All DSG jackets offer adequate protection. And since you're inclined towards Maze, I'd personally suggest you go for the Nero jacket, reason being it has two liners which is removable and can be inserted upon need.

And it also being a mesh provides good ventilation if you're out on a drive on a sunny day. Not to diss out Maze, Maze is leather cum mesh and I've gathered from people who wear always complain they are uncomfortable when you use it in really sunny days, it's pretty much like a winter jacket, but yes, it serves it's dual purpose pretty good, but not that excellent. So go for Nero, my suggestion.

Regarding RJays Swift, it just has an additional waterproof/windproof liner, and that's about it. It's not 100% waterproof, it can take you home in mild to moderate rain without any water seeping inside, but agian don't expect a 100% waterproof jacket. There is clearly a difference between waterproof and water resistant, and most of them are quoted waterproof, though they are water resistant for the most part, 95% of them fall in this category!

Most jackets don't allow water to seep inside through the zippers by the very construction of the zip. That said, there are waterproof zippers which protect rain from entering inside the jacket.

            BOOTS
I've the exact AXO PRIMATO II, bought it from PlanetDSG. Pretty VFM considering the price you pay. Looks flashy when you ride, and you get pretty good head turns wearing this boot , especially the white black one, which I used. Excellent wet grip, and really good design too. For the boot at that price, it's a cheap and best option to go. Go for it!

            Gloves
DSG Acqua gloves are pretty good bang for the buck glove. DSG Primal DSG Revive and Carbon gloves are not waterproof, but they are leather, which are really good if unexpected happens. Pretty much anything, any brand you buy, if abused, won't last long, and leather is not an exception.

Leather needs adequate care. I have a leather glove, bash it like hell, don't wash don't do anything, because, yes I am lazy , any why wash a leather glove. I mean it's meant to get dirty right

And wearing a leather in rain constantly without adequate care will degrade the leather soon and make it soggy and will drastically reduce it life. Keep things well, they last long. Trash em, and you end up making one.

            Cheers!

don't buy DSG aqua gloves.....it is water resistant and when it soaks water it takes a long time to dry.....

i would suggest, wait for sometime and collect enough cash and try alpinestars drystar gloves or alpinestars webgore WP gloves...it is worth instead of spending money on something that would not serve the purpose....

for rain protection, the best is to get a duckback rain sute (good one around 1300)......no matter what jacket or pants you use, if you want complete protection then go for duckback, easy to wear and remove and buy the extra large size....

I use an RJ Octane (7.6k) and an RJ Tempest2 Gloves (3k). The jacket and glove will hold good in decent rains. But you can use both of them year round - summers as well and winters\rains. So all in all a good all rounder set .

But if you need something specific for our monsoons, buy a duckback suit and put it over the jacket. Pretty sure very few jackets will be able to keep you completely dry for a long time in heavy rains.

Spartan Progear is at Akkarai junction. I feel for Chennai heat, going for a mesh jacket like the Spartan Helios is a good choice.

Sometimes it takes a whole tankful of fuel before you can think straight.

It was not that far on the map.

Check the page 678~ you can find a member giving his views about the Spartan jacket he purchased. It's a pretty decent jacket considering the price you pay for it. Try the jacket first, before you buy any jacket.

You can contact them at [email protected] or [email protected] Try sending them a mail, regarding your jacket need. They will get back to you.

There are lots of jackets in and around 5-7k range. Try going for Cramster which is in Bangalore and a lot of my friends use Cramster. It's pretty decent and give you bang for the buck.

There is this jacket called Breezer 4.0 which is an all-weather jacket, you have different liners based upon different climate conditions. At 5450 it's the best VFM jacket out there and gloves too.

Check out this website and there are lots of things you can purchase depending upon your need. Plus, it's in Bangalore, you can visit their showroom whenever you're free.

Not really . Actually the pant has been for a while from what I've enquired with DSG folks. But they mostly sold it in store, but not at a mass level. Once it was listed on their website, it went viral and now people are in the know about the NERO PANTS.

DSG stuffs are pretty basic, don't expect a sea change wearing them, but yes, something is better than nothing and in that aspect they do their job pretty good, if not even good some times. Now the decision is completely yours, Nithesh according to your budget and needs. If you think, VELOCITY 2.0 would be your best bet, go for it, else go for NERO.

Nero and the NEW CRAMSTER VELOCITY too an all-weather pant, you can the liner(s) based upon your need and climate conditions. Pretty VFM for money if you ask me.

Go for it, in whatever brand if you feel comfortable.
