I use my rjays leather gloves through out the rains. Its been two years now. They are still going strong. Only thing is you should keep using them continuously. If you keep the wet gloves for few days then the leather becones hard. But again after re-using for some time, it will be fine again.

Only problem would be, your hands will get wet while riding. And if are riding in a very cold environment then hanfs will freez. Else no problem.

I am not using it, but its not so good at water resistance. But almost all riding jackets are not as good as a rain coat. Water gets inside in heavy rains in case of all jackets.
Wearing a proper rain jacket over the riding jacket is your best bet if you want to be totally dry.

I have RJays Swift and let me tell you its "Worst". Better you buy a duckback over the riding Jacket and remain dry during monsoons.

Is there any sort of knee guard available that resists the twisting of knee. I had a fall recently and twisted my knee (god knows how).

                Thx alot.
For that you'll need a knee brace, around $300 each so that's $600 a pair give or take.

Small price to pay, considering a twisted knee may never recover fully.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

One of my friend has the RJays Swift, pretty okay-ish jacket, price wise, way upped just for the premium sake. Compared it with my Octane, you can't tell much of a difference in both quality and stuff. I myself own heaps of RJays gear. All I'd say is RJays is just over-rated, not worth the buck! For okay-ish use it's okay, but when it's time to test, it really doesn't stand that well, and that's when you know you've made a mistake. Just my humble opinion. Other welcome thoughts are welcome.

Not to appease. But could you shed some light on what made you say that. Personally I've heard the same, but then I was just wondering what made you say that, just for me.

                  Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Armor wise, I can't comment because it's not the best, and it's not the cheap. But build wise, it ain't that good. I myself have thought why, I bought this stuff and then sold a brand new one. Their high-spec stuffs are really excellent, their low end stuff, like Swift, Octane don't fare that well, IMHO.

And I need not even start about DSG, oh boy!

                      Cheers!

                      • I am also using many gears fron rjays. Pretty much happy with it. Dont really feel that its overpriced. Because dsg products in same price range are not as good as rjays.

And in case of comparing swift vs octane, then let me tell you that octane looks and feels a bit tougher and better than swift. Also octane has much better (thick) armour than swift. Any way its my own opinion

And i do agree to your point, octane looks better and also costs more.

You're absolutely correct! Saw one from FOX motorsport in Malaysia, costing about USD$ 500 /- (each) and was very tempted. Brilliant construction - carbon-fibre, aluminum and what-not.

However, I've been told its rather uncomfortable to wear and primarily meant for riders who have already suffered an injury. That's why they are sold as singles and not a pair.

Not only that, Krish, I've worn many jackets as you know, and yes, I currently use an RJays stuff. I am not a brand appeaser or disser. I've had RJays Octane for two years and I've never really used it hard-core. For those lazy, office, weekend-rides the jacket is really good. When you really want more from the jacket, that's where it really starts to let you down.

I've worn the jacket "N" of times, in rain, in cold weather, crazy winds, what not, the jacket performed good, but still, you feel it won't last long and it proves. Let me put it into context, you know you love a girl so much, and she loves you back the same, but deep down, you know she's gonna elope some day.

And that's the same thing, I've had with RJays, not once, twice, but thrice, finally decided to stay with one girl until "not she elopes" but she's done for good.

                              Cheers!
