People have used it for close to three years with no problem whatsoever. Excellent VFM of jacket out there.

Spartan HELIOS is a mesh jacket, comes in around 5550/- which is best suited for hot climate, where you need air flow to keep you cool. This jacket comes with a rain liner, which acts as a wind cheater too. This is not an all-weather jacket.

DSG Rage costs 5999 and it's just as Spartan HELIOS except you get it in fancy colors.

Scoyco, JK 17 is by far the best stuff I've ever seen at Rs. 3500, had a chance to review it when one of my friend from Bangalore was kind enough to let me wear it, and boy I was impressed. The quality of the armor is just excellent and the quality is way beyond my expectation and at that price it's a steal.

The only problem is that the jacket is a little bit on the softer side, both DSG Nero and Scoyco JK 17, I would say Scoyco is even better than DSG stuffs.

So the decision is upto you, and decide based on which you want to go.

    Cheers!

The SCOYCO costs 4.5k now.If its available somewhere at 3.5k, do tell me.
Also regarding cramster, is the protection enough compared to a spartan or a scoyco? Haven't really heard good things about cramster but vfm proposition makes it hard to ignore.

Will do that. Scoyco is best when it comes to armor, they have excellent armor and the quality is really really good. Likewise Cramster too is a VFM stuff, can't comment about Spartan because I haven't viewed the armor of Spartan, but it is a certified one as the others. But since you wanted an all season at this price, Cramster is your best bet.

Jacket is good without the rain liner and very comfortable in Mumbai climate. Just the rain liner sucks.
Just wanted to get the pulp you see. Thanks, mate.

P.S: Don't be harsh on RJays . There may be one off lemons, but all in all, it is a fairly good brand. The quality of stuff you get is better wct DSG\Cramster.
        But my personal opinion anyways.

        Mithun
Exactly, Mithun. I myself own a lot of RJays stuffs. Not to diss the brand, but agree to your point wholeheartedly, there is clearly a difference between DSG and RJays build quality, RJays is just light years away from DSG, but RJays in my opinion is just over rated and the price is just a mark up, could have been even cheaper.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        • After much deliberation and dilemma bought the 'AlpineStars TG-P Air' Jacket from Helmets Paradise, Bangalore. Costs Rs.8500 as listed in Planetdsg site.

Earlier went to Orion motors to buy the DSG Rage-Orange as it's the best combination for the Duke, they didn't have the TG-P Air jacket in Stock, but upon trying the Rage, I felt the fabric for the sleeves are light and don't think it will survive any small damage.

The Orange/green + White colored fabric on the Rage jackets, which I thought will be attractive actually made me repulsive towards the jacket. It gets dirty in no time, almost all the Rage jackets in store had stains from normal handling.

Considering the Monsoon and the amount of water/sludge Duke throws back at the Rider, this jacket will get dirty in no time.

But on the Plus side, it has a good design,Attractive and has good Armors especially the Back protector.

As far as Alpinestars goes, tried it, liked it instantly, the feel and quality is fantastic. Apart from the fact that it doesn't come with any Liners, it's a really good jacket. Very light. Back protector is of foam and may need to upgrade to a A* CE back protector accessory.

Wore it from the shop and got caught in a light drizzle, didn't allow any water inside.

The A-Stars T GP Air is a very good jacket. Yes it feels a Premium product. I got one too. It does not have an inner liner but then I prefer it that way.

In India most of the time it's hot and humid.. a mesh jacket makes the most sense.

I am a Mesh Jacket Fan and I also got a DSG Maze (2 Plus years old by now).. it is also a very good jacket. Due to the genuine leather on the shoulders of the Maze and cuff, the rider needs to be careful not to use it the rains but then the leather also makes the Maze look premium.

Kudos bro. Waiting for a detailed review of the jacket. If you post a clear picture of the complete inner of the jacket, the mesh stuff plus the outside and backside that'd be real great.

              Cheers!

                  DO NOT go for RJays.

As far as gloves are concerned within 2k you have many options such as CRAMSTER, DSG, AXO. You can have a personal look in each of the brands suiting to your personal requirements and budget. Suggestions on one personal glove would be an inaccurate help as each glove has a unique purpose with build. So your own personal hands on will get you the best you desire.

Have never experienced SCOYCO! It's really awesome if that's what you are quoting bro! Can anyone help me with the store in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai so that I can lay my hands on that stuff?

AH helmets, Oshiwara store scoyco. I have even seen some scoyco stuff at Babloo Motors. But I doubt there provenance surely. Looked fake IMO. But did investigated them properly anyway. Why don't you go and have a look. Babloo motors btw are authorized resellers of DSG products.
Last time I checked, they had not received any shipment of gloves.

i have the Helios and should say its got a lot of useful features.
also its very comfortable for hot weather rides.
i have used it in rains with the rain liner and it does its work for upto medium downpours.
the mesh also dries up pretty quick after the rain.

have attached few pics from online links.let know if you need anything specific related to the jacket.
