    Is this any good?
I know its way too cheap to be good but want to know!

nevermind...in that price I am pretty sure its junk!!!!
I would like to say to both of you that safety should not be compromised for just a few thousands of money. Although I am not completely educated about the safe riding accessories you guys have ......... but in a friendly brotherhood I am here putting up an order in which you should look to buy them from your earnest savings

    1. A good Helmet + Full/half balaclava
    2. A riding Jacket
    3. A pair of riding glove preferably all leather or the ones which have leather at impact prone areas
    4. A pair of knee guards
    5. A pair of riding boots

There are way too much to buy but I feel the above list is a good one to begin with. In case you need some expert advice about any product type/brand you are always welcome to seek advice from the members on the thread. Infact you should zero in on a product even before you begin to save for it. I hope I was helpful in some way

    Warm Regards,
    Pranav

guys.. i am thinking of buying a good pair of gloves and a jacket.. not now, but in coming months.. would have to save till then.. help out a bit.. i'm mostly a city rider..
for gloves.. i have thinking either PEGASUS from Spartan pro-gear or DSG Revive Gloves.. which one do you guys think better..?
and for jacket.. i really haven't seen one personally.. no one around me even thinks of getting one.. that "racer banna hai kya..?" attitude..
based on what i have read on this thread.. these two looked good.. Cramster Breezer-RS and Hyperion from Spartan Pro-gear..
will go to the shops in Delhi region personally to check them next month..

if i know exactly what i want.. then it becomes much easier to save, than first save and then decide..

      Ride safe and have fun.
      Regards

Breezer & Hyperion are both good for city commute - its actually a personal choice between the two.
u may also consider cramster flux gloves for city commute - been using them for a while & are very comfortable.

Boy oh boy oh boy, I gotta admit, that was the best phrase in this entire threads 963 pages Dragon prince. If that's the case no gear would suffice you, ever literally (kiddin)

First off, what's your budget, so one can get an idea as to what you're spending.
Two, what are the gears you're planning to buy on i.e. shoes, helemts, jackets, etc

Three, just a friendly thought thought, invest in riding gears for your own safety, for someone loves you back home no matter what.

And please don't buy gears in the mindset not to make others envy or their dullness to brightness. The reason I'm saying that to you is, even if you buy gears that you can afford there is someone out there who wears even costlier, which will ultimately make *YOU* dull upon seeing them, just so you get my point.

But do let us know what you're planning to purchase and your budget, so that we can help.

              Cheers!

Get a Camelin HIGH-LIGHTER (sorry.. don't take it seriously). You will find riding gear in bright colours but let me tell you that in India wearing riding gear itself makes you cool, bright etc, so focus on safety & you will make others dull

I have read some members feeling a bit chary about investing in high grade riding gear. So, here is what can happen if one does not wear a jacket or the jacket is of low quality.

CAUTION. The images are highly graphic and may be disturbing for some. I have seen worse injuries in my life. The victim here is most lucky to get away with what he, well, got away with. THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANY ONE OF US. So, please, invest in excellent gear, invest in safety, invest in Life itself.

I think it'd would have been even wiser to post the actual photos themselves, so that it would have been an excellent reminder for the aftermath one can imagine. Just by seeing those pics one would be consious enough to make a wiser decision, firstly for himself and his family and friends.

Good post, icemang. But hope this embroils oneself into safety for good.

                    Cheers!

After Jacket and Gloves, I was thinking of shoes and then I had a tiny hit with a auto-wala that gave me a bit of a inch of swelling in foot.
So here is My last week purchase :

                        Bought for 1600rs.
                        Sole is Very good
The Ankle is of Thick Stuff + Foam inside.
                        The Fitting is very good.
The weight is same as that of a Sport shoes & not like a boot so its good for riding.
Though I never like the Camouflage theme of jacket, pants, anything.
And I wanted it all Black, but there's no Option.

                        I-Feel-Good !

Got a decent helmet(studds scorpion, thanks to xbhp members who suggested it,I love it) lately, with the kind of riding I am doing now,I need a jacket, gloves and shoes..Being a student with no income, cannot buy all together..
                                Which order should I go?
Also I am not posting my budget as I don't have any now....I will choose a product and overtime save the money necessary.
But please suggest gear as you guys did for my helmet(Got it for 1.8k,when LS2 costs double)...ie,cheapest one with no compromise on safety..!
