Dude.. The snaps posted on the olx link somehow look nothing like the phaetons on the spg website.. Also I'm curious as to why you wish to sell those gloves if they are brand new?Originally posted by pratik.pat View PostMay i suggest Blaster.(Riding Gloves, BLASTER - Street Gloves). I hope you've gone through the text under the photos. You'll get your answers, if you're still unable to understand, I'll be happy to help.Originally posted by globe2ride View PostDude.. I would request you to check them brand new in person at any SPG reseller.
Plus i was merely suggesting, you have an option. In fact if i had to sell them out rightly to you i would have never suggested cramster blaster because they both fall precisely into the same price range.
As kunwar.g said, the pics have not been updated, i had similar apprehensions. So confirmed from another spg reseller. Plus i bought them from an official reseller with an original bill, and it's so mentioned in the text, i would sincerely request you to go through it if you haven't already.Originally posted by Kunwar.g View PostThe pics on SPG website are not updated. My bad, I did go through the text later, and I get your point, but this again adds to my dilemma, the material now seems completely mesh/textile.. is that so? I was counting on the leather palm of the earlier version which would have been better, protection wise... This confusion is never ending.. But during my expedition through the gloves departments, I have come across cramster flux, which according to the website, are specially designed "summer gloves".. Would like to check those out too.
Thanks for the info, you saved me from buying something online, and then being bonked over on seeing that the actual delivery, is not at all what i had been made to believe it would be..
Cheers!

Yes the phaeton are textile/leather construction. That's why i suggested you Cramster blasters. They are fully leather,Short cuff and in the same price bracket. i had recently seen a White red combination of Blaster at apex racing, and believe me, for the price you're paying they seem to have an edge over the phaeton. Also they have been slightly updated and the updated photo is still not available online.Regarding Flux, i have no idea, so would refrain from commenting. It would be best to get the reviews from an actual owner.Originally posted by globe2ride View PostMy bad, I did go through the text later, and I get your point, but this again adds to my dilemma, the material now seems completely mesh/textile.. is that so? Also regarding the phaeton, i had seen this sometime back on their Facebook wall.
You could contact the person and get reviews.
Happy to help.

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Booked a Zeus All Terrain Grey Jacket last Saturday, here in Delhi. Size 'M' was not in stock, so tried a size 'L'. It was a bit loose around the waist so ordered a size 'M'. Have been promised delivery by this Friday. I wanted the orange one to go with my Duke, but was told that I would have to wait atleast a month to get one. So booked the grey instead. The Jacket is all Cordura, so I'll be roasted all nice and tender this summer. Though I have little or no experience with riding gears, the jacket seemed pretty nice for its price and looked good too
. And for those who don't know, its an Indian Brand. Anyone with a budget under 7000/- must check these out.
I was actually looking at the SPG Helios earlier, but size 'M' was not available with Meandering India. And they are not known for delivering on time, having waited for an SF1 with them for over 3 months.
Will post my impressions soon. Looking forward to use it at the track day.

Cramster Flux was my first glove, before rain induced riding gave away with the stitches. But it lasted a full 2 years doing duty almost on a day-to-day basis. The glove is chic, superbly vented, and yes cheap on the pocket considering a leather at a VFM price point. I prefer full versus half, so Rjays has been doing duty for close to 3 years now.
But if you're considering FLUX it's an excellent glove, and does the job chic.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Thanks VJ that was a truly confidence inspiring comment, and I guess this I going to be my next summer glove. As I said earlier, I am specifically looking for a summer glove, so I believe it would asta longer I I don't take it out in the rain... I can look for a pair waterproof ones during the summer.. I don't think much could go wrong with that kind of specific usage. And even if it does, at that price point, it wouldn't hurt me much..Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostCramster Flux was my first glove, before rain induced riding gave away with the stitches. If you know of any places where I can try and buy the flux around Mumbai, it would be much appreciated.. I tried straub near thane station, they said cramster is facing sort of a shortage in their gloves department. I doubt it. I plan to call up adventure 18 store next.
Cheers!

Finding Cramster stuff in Mumbai is an issue, Adventure18 does not stock too much and shop in Grant Road is in a weird shape. Best bet would be Outdoor Travel Gear in Bandra..Originally posted by globe2ride View PostThanks VJ that was a truly confidence inspiring comment, and I guess this I going to be my next summer glove. Unfortunately flux isn't available in my size on crammys website.. I'll require an 'M' according to instructions on their website.. And the only sizes they have are XL, XXL, XXXL...Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostCheck with Crammy's website, they have a payment gateway in their website, give it a try. Oh boy! Well, then just shoot them a mail to see, if there is chances of it getting back on stock. Else you can contact them for their area wise dealer info, which can aid you in sourcing it more quicker.Originally posted by globe2ride View PostUnfortunately flux isn't available in my size on crammys website.. They do have a shop in Sion but call before you go else you may find it closed, also be very clear with the your requirement and ask them for their stock as very rare chance for them to have it..Originally posted by globe2ride View PostSorry for consecutive posts, I.missed your reply..
