A bit off topic. But i want to bring this to your notice.

None of the Bangalore sellers stock your riding boots. I want to buy the Zeus boot but the dealers say they dont stock Spartan boots. Buying online is a difficult option since i wont be able to try out the proper size before purchasing.

Also another grouse is , the shoe size is mentioned on your website as S,M,L,XL.... Pray tell me who measures shoes in such metrics?Have you seen Nike,Puma,Reebok having sizes in such metrics? It is not possible for anyone to find out the correct shoe size. Please update your website.

Also one more observation WRT bangalore dealers. Except your jacket range they dont stock anything. Helmets are stocked only by Megha Enterprises and that too in M,L size. What should people with S size head do?

Does anyone from Bangalore know a good helmet shop in Bangalore which offers Vega helmets for low price? I'm looking for the Vega off road helmet.

Walk into any helmet shop in the lalbagh road stretch and you'll see plenty of Vega.

Get to Urvashi theater located near Lalbagh. You will see a helmet shop bang in front of it. These guys sell vega helmets at very good price. Don't forget to bargain hard, You might end up getting a very good deal from these guys. While you are at it, contact this number - +91-9845819143. Bargain over the phone and buy from the one who gives you the best price, Both of them sell genuine helmets, and as far as my knowledge goes have a good off-road collection as well.

                Hey Guys,

I want to buy a pair of riding gloves for my day to day riding and occasional trips.
My Budget is strictly under Rs 2500/-. Now i have few queries:

                1. What should I look for in the gloves?
                2. How the fit should be?

Can you please suggest some options under Rs 2500/- keeping in mind that the gloves could be worn during summer and winters both.

                Thanks

                  Sagar,

Dealers are independent traders who decide for themselves what they want to or don't want to stock. The manufacturing company has no control whatsoever over them except certain pricing policies. Most traders do not prefer to stock boots because they are much slower selling than jackets and helmets. Moreover to stock just one model they have to maintain 6 different sizes, and a minimum of a few pairs for each size. Considering the inventory cost, most traders simple prefer to give the segment a miss.

Your point about about the sizing on the website has been noted and passed on for action. Thanks for the heads up. May I ask why you haven't asked the HelpDesk for assistance.? A quick check shows that you have had successful interaction with them in the past.

Again helmets are stocked at the preference of the dealers. Megha prefers to stock M and L as they are the fastest selling sizes. Ultimately with dealers it always boils down to cost of inventory unfortunately. At this time SPG has the largest range of products, spanning every single category, and if the dealer had to stock all products, he would require a separate store.

SPG's tie up with Moto101 should ease this problem and once the store in JC road stabilises, you should be able to get all products there to your satisfaction.

Agreed about the dealers discretion to stock what they want. But at the same time, the brand should be able to reach out to the target audience for them to actually use and appreciate your product right?

Yes, i have had really good interaction with your support team over purchases and support. And i must appreciate that they are very prompt and clear. But boots cannot be purchased online. It would be a gamble. Besides the overhead of shipping back in case of a wrong fit is also high(Return shipping costs).

Any timeline as to when will the Moto101 shop open on JC road? That would be a God send to bikers.

Unfortunately Megha does not know or care two hoots if the helmet fits your size well. They shove the the available size even if it is a loose fit to an unaware customer. I strongly feel as a seller of the brand, a guideline or two must be conveyed to the dealers about fit and size. It is all for the benefit of the customer who should not be disappointed or worse, maimed or injured for the incorrect selection of size due to un-aware and greedy dealers . I should appreciate your re-seller :Biking spirit , in this regard. They point out if the helmet is a loose fit and will say not to buy it straight away.

Anyway heading to Megha enterprises tomorrow to get myself a pair of Zeus. Hope i can find them good fitting and in the right size.

The moto101 shop has opened about 2 weeks ago at jc road. It is right next to Megha enterprises and its run by the same people who operate Megha enterprises. That is where I got my jacket from
Edit: I remember seeing Spartan riding boots (not sure which model) and also 2-3 models(phaeton, centaur) of Spartan gloves at the moto101 shop apart from lots of jackets.
