Almost all the back armors available in jackets are CE rated, even Spartan, and as far as I know, they are all dual density. I checked mine and it says CE rated, although I had it changed with the level 2. Compared to DSG jacket, the stock back armor was thicker and looked better.

Google cramster, dsggear, spartangear and look up the gloves listed in their portfolio.

You will be sweating in leather gloves, if you find the weather conditions humid, otherwise you won't have any dificulties in using the gloves daily.

Many of us use leather gloves (Spartan Pegasus, DSG Revive, Rynox Kombat, etc. ) for daily commutes as well..and are comfortable with it..

Still if you have reservations, you may try Cramster MX3/ Spartan Phaeton...These are a combination of textile mesh and leather and are more breathable.

If you are strict on budget then go for Aspida Phaeton. Comes for Rs 2100 and they get very comfortable after a week's continuous use. I use it in my tours and local commutation too. Probiker gloves are useless , just showoffs.

Guys ,i am from kerala and i own a honda CBR 250 C ABS ( My night fury :-p )..i usually do weekly 200-350 kms weekly trip and occasional multi-day trips... Apart from the LS2 helmet i dont own any proper riding gear ( Probiker gloves ,which i find is useless after reading the comments here )..So here is the list of gear i am planning to get after going through considerable part of the thread.
PS:- i dont earn yet , so yes budget is a big constraint

                  1. Jacket- Aspida Helios
                  2 Gloves - SPG Pegasus
                  3 Knee guards -SPG perseus

I also have a Quenchua rain jacket which does a pretty good job during the heavy rains .

Please suggest some better products if any in the same price range that would suit my purpose

                  Thanx in advance

Hi everyone, I was checking out some riding gear and came across a brand called ZEUS. Specs seem decent. Has anyone used any ZEUS jacket? If yes, please give me a review! Also I'd like to know if I should choose some ZEUS jacket over a DSG Triton as they are in the same price range. Thanks!

                      Hi Nabeel,

                      I am also from Kerala(Kochi)

Here are the choice of Jackets you have -
Spartan/Aspida Helios, Cramster Breezer/Breezer 4S, DSG Evo and Rynox Air GT
                      I am using DSG Evo(Price 5k)

                      For Gloves,
I am using a TBG Street(Price 3k), which seems pretty decent. It comes with a Knox scaphoid bone protector.

I am using SPG perseus for a knee guard and finds it a good one.

Would also recommend you to get a good boots.(If your budget is preventing you from investing in a proper riding boot, get a good ankle boot. Recommend Bata's Weinbrenner(Brand) Frankfurt(Model) boots. Cost - 2.7K. Its available in all Bata outlets)

*You can get Cramster and DSG from Autoqueen, Kaloor and Spartan, Rynox and TBG from DJ Helmets, Edappally
                      Ride Safe...

                      Cheers...

                        Thanks alot febin,

i will personally go and see. I was only aware of the DJ helmets shop in kochi, that why restricted my choices to SPG products.

                        Thanks again :-)

                          Hi guys,
I wanted to know, when I stop at signals, should I shut off the engine or just keep it running? I've heard that more fuel is consumed when the engine starts than when it is running...so just wanted your recommendations!

If the signal is more than 60 seconds then better to switch off.
