It is indeed worth the price you pay. Considering the entry level products we get the helmet is very much well designed, feels light , has great viewing angle . The only downside I found for the K-3 series is that the chin lock mechanism is the slider and not the D-ring. Would have loved it even more if it was the D-ring mechanism.
But nonetheless it will do a great job in protecting your head if one is ever to be involved in a crash.
You can find the review of it here.Originally posted by Pritesh Patel View PostI am thinking of buying it pkease post a rewiew on hit, is it usabke in city for daiky wear during summers or not

Hi krishna,
Read your above review, very well written. but given a choice between DSG revive and Spartan pegasus, which one would you recommend. I have DSG revive, its taking a long time to break in comfortably but I feel the protection is better (better carbon fiber protection) than Spartan. Whats your opinion?
and I thing DSG revive is about 400 INR cheaper as well .If you commute daily to office, on a bike,

Re: Universal : Riding Gears Thread gear advise
Guys . still in process of collecting my gear. Have shortlisted the following but have gone beyond my budget.
Helmet- sol or Mt 5.5
Knee guard-Spartan perseus 2.6
Jacket - Spartan helios or rynox tornado 7k
Gloves - tbg Street 3.8
This is my first gear. I don't think will be touring a lot. Just for short 2_3hour rides.
Is there other option for knee guard that can be worn inside. Should I go for other gloves. Wil be wearing gloves first time. Looking for cost saving.

Helios is now more dearer by 1k and even the knee guards...
Tornado is a good jacket but its mesh is very small..
Try solace jacket...good vmf.

Helmets>>>pls help decide..
Hi Guys, was reading this thread and the helmets thread for the past two weeks, lot of information, but nothing solid to help me decide on the helmet. I am going to purchase a jacket and helmet, planning to get leh'd in 2-3 months, after that will be going for ~300 Kms trips atleast once in a month.
Firstly the jacket, I have almost finalised on tbg advbreed - 8k, since spartan increased 1K for their jackets recently, I lost interest in the Icarus model which I had been eyeing.
Then the main confusion, HELMET!!...budget is ~6K, narrowed down to SOL SL68 II, MT BLADE, MT REVENGE then finally LS2(cos lot of friends have it, tried and it seems good)
Please give your opinions regarding this, personal experiences e.t.c...
..Suggest any other helmets in that range, if something comes to your mind.
Thanks a lot in advance...

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Got the Rynox Tornado Pro.
Was inclined to buy the Tornado Pro as against the Spartan Helios, as I had got really good reviews about Rynox from my elder brother's friend.
But was till confused. Now that the cost of Helios was hiked by 1k + Helios still does not come with a Thermal Liner.
Tornado Pro was the clear winner.
Shall update images soon.
Cheers

Yes , aspida has increased price on all its products. When I bought my aspida pegasus a few days ago it's price was 2600 now it's 2925 and my aspida Icarus which I bought 2 weeks ago it's price was 4600 now it's 1k extra .Originally posted by kety213 View PostAre you aware of the price hike on all SPG products?

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Hi Friends,
After a lot of thought bought the TBG Street gloves and the TBG ADVBreed riding jackets. It's still early days, been wearing them quite regularly for the last 1month, but still feel really good about the quality and fit of both the products. I would recommend them to all who are looking for a new one.
The TBG ADV Breed jacket (Price 7950/-):
This is an all season jacket. Means has an inner thermal lining and a rain liner which needs to be worn outside. This is good as you don't have to open your jacket to put this on when it starts raining. The thermal liner looks nice but have not had the chance to wear it yet. Now coming to the details:
The most important aspect, Protection:
Wear it and you get a good sense of security. The jacket is heavy, and slim fit, but once worn, the fit is perfect for me. The armors fall in to the right places. They are CE certified level 2 armors. There is an extra padding on each shoulder with transparent moulded plastic with the brand name embossed. There is cordura on the impact areas to give a good abrasion protection and mesh in the other areas for better ventilation. The stitching looks neat and proper. No loose ends here. There are velcro bands on each wrist to fasten the jacket. You also get 2 level button adjustments on your forearm areas to fasten the jacket. Waist area also has velcro based adjusting straps and there is a provision to attach your jacket to the riding pants at the lower back. Overall very nice fit and feel with good quality protection.
Comfort:
I use it for my daily commute to office. I wouldn't say it's super comfortable, you start perspiring once you stop in traffic, but it won't fry you in the Bangalore weather. Once you start moving, even slowly, everything changes. The large mesh areas allow enough air to pass through to keep you cool. It's not ultra comfortable but then with the amount of protection it offers, it's difficult to be so. You will need to compromise somewhere. But would still be wearable in a Bangalore kind of weather. Places which are hotter and more humid like Chennai/Kolkata, not sure if I would wear them regularly though.
Looks:
This is a slim fit jacket. So wearing it makes you look slim
, but the downside is once bought you need to be in shape to fit. Good thing about this is that while riding nothing flaps, everything is well set and snug.
Overall I am very happy with my buy and really love the jacket. Only downside is its a bit too cumbersome for me to wear in the peak summers. Thinking of a separate light weight all mesh jacket now for office use
.
Thanks,
Nilanjan
