    Are you facing issues too?

No mate. Have been happily using the jacket almost everyday for more than 7k kms now ! My elder brother's friend has been using a Rynox Jacket since 2 years (approx.) now without any problem. Infact he is the one who suggested me to go with Rynox for its quality.

True, problem with zipper is something weird but interesting to know as the zips are YKK (one of the best brand) and if those fail, more than Rynox I guess YKK should be questioned for its quality, coz most brand are using the zip by the same company.

No doubt the quality must be good but these niggling problems are irritating just like owning a Fiat in India.
Anyway i got a main from them saying they can offer me a free replacement again as they have no refund policy. I will have to ship them the jacket back to their head office and accordingly they will credit me.
I am not able to understand what should I do, should i stick to the point for refund?

        Guys,
I'm from Bangalore and looking to buy my first riding gear.

I'm a little tight on budget so I cannot afford the best of things out there in the market.
For now, I am looking to buy riding gloves and a Jacket.

I have little to no knowledge in gear so I need your help.

        I ride an R3
I do normally 90Kph or lesser speeds
I have 15 years of commuter bike riding experience.

        What am I looking for?
        1. Places to buy Gear in Bangalore
        2. What to keep an eye out for when buying the stuff (cloth, pads, material, etc)
Hero Honda Splendor (June 2001- Present)
        Yamaha YZF R3 (Jan 2016 - Present)
        TVS Scooty Zest 110 (Oct 2017 - Apr 2018)
        TVS Ntorq 125 (May 2018 - Apr 2019)
        KTM Duke 125 (Apr 2019 - Dec 2019)

Buy good leather gloves for ( they cost a little more but are way better than textile gloves) and as for the jacket buy one with cordura and mesh and CE rated armour everywhere ( elbow back and shoulders ) what's your budget?

I don't know how much these cost
I think the online portals start the prices from 5k for jackets and I have no idea about gloves.
I need at least one of these soon.
Budget is flexible but I need cheap and best Value for money stuff like a typical Indian

I used it as my first gloves. Lasted two years. It had no problems. Lost it somewhere when I moved.

A leather glove would cost around 2k and a mesh+cordura jacket above 6k. I use cramster twister gloves (1.7k) and rynox tornado pro jacket (7.1k). The gloves are good for daily use and i've been using them since 6 months everyday. The jacket is well built and comfortable for weekend runs.

How much time did you took to break into the gloves?

                        Hi,
You can try TBG Jacket which comes for 7900 approx.
Coming to the Rynox, i have heard they are of good quality but in particular i have changed 2 jackets already.

For the gloves, go get leather one's. 2500-3500 range.
                        Cheers!

Before recommending anything. Just wanted to know the whether you plan to use it for commuting purpose or short/long tours as well ? I mean is there going to be much of highway riding or the daily commute is traffic. This will help you get the right gear to suit your purpose.

I gave up on city riding with this bike. Its not practical at all to take this bike in Bangalore traffic.
So yes, it will be highway and open roads type of riding and early morning city rides which would be very less to no traffic.

This makes it easier to recommend a jacket to you.

I would recommend to go for the Rynox Tornado Pro Jacket or the TBG Jacket, since you are from Bangalore.
Tornado Pro for the quality of Outer Shell, Thermal Liner and an amazing water-proof liner. (I do not have this model of the Rynox, though before i got my rynox jacket I had used my brother's friends jacket). Knox armors at Shoulder and elbow, CE rated at back and Du Pont Cordura at impact zones is quite promising at 7099/-.

TBG no experience but have heard is good quality. It also has Sas-tec back armor besides the Sas-tec armors at shoulder and elbow. But the rain liner is not effective is what I have read. Comes at around 8k+ now, if I am not wrong.

Both of these are good for highway riding given that the pore of the out-shell are not too big. Since both are mesh you will also get good ventilation.

I have a scenario that I need your advise on. I have an old faux leather jacket that I wear ... just plain one with a lining and no protectors or anything. It is an important jacket sentimentally.

Now what dumb kids have done is taken scissor to it. There was no way to patch it up as the foam was now not sitting right. I have removed the entire lining now as the foam is itchy ... but now just the leather literally burns when there is no wind flowing.

So I wanted to get a new lining stitched and while that is being done ... pockets for protectors. Think this is a feasible project?
When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.
