Yes its not advisable for Leh and apart from that these gloves are very bulky and getting the hand in and out is pretty tough. It takes a lot of time to get used to these gloves while riding. Do give a try if u r seriously thinking to buy these.

I don't have any particular model in mind. As we don't have any such gloves ( at that price point ) in the market. There are gloves from Knox sold by OTG but they are at around 7500/-.Originally posted by Shaktiv3 View Postwhich gloves do you recommend then?
If you don't have budget problem then go for KNOX ( https://www.outdoortravelgear.com/pr...e-gloves/black). Else, look for a friend who has Tundra gloves and borrow them for your Leh ride.Rides : Yamaha Gladiator RS ( 2009 - Present )

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
There is an alphinestar gloves for 6k INR. They say its completely water proof. Not sure about the cold. I have not used it, also dont know anyone who has used it, so cant comment on that.Originally posted by Shaktiv3 View Postwhich gloves do you recommend then?
If i was in your situation, i would use a thermal gloves and put tundra on top of it. But then again, as i am not sure how cold it will be, i will always have a plan B.
Queche also has water proof gloves for 2.5k. Not a riding gloves though.
My 2 cents.
Thanks

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I washed mine a few weeks back by just soaking it in lukewarm water. It worked well for me. DO NOT Machine wash it. I had the same query. Thank fully unlike most brands out there, Rynox has a Care Instruction page as well which mentions -Originally posted by slevynhawk View PostHello guys.. I have a Rynox tornado pro riding jacket and want to know is there any way to remove its back protector for washing it. Also is it safe to wash it in washing machine..??
"Washing Textile JacketHand Wash is recommended for stains. In a large basin sink, mix warm-hot water with liquid detergent. Bug strikes and road debris are best removed with a soft bristled toothbrush. DO NOT use any form of detergent, bleach, automotive cleaner, or dry cleaning chemicals. These items will damage the garment!
Drying Textile Jackets
Textile Jackets should be allowed to drip dry only. DO NOT use a machine dryer, direct sunlight, hair dryers or any type of heater during the drying process."
But I did not wash the liner as I hardly used it, plus I was a little worried that I may damage the thermal liner by soaking it in water.
Hope this helps

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Yes you can remove the back protector by using the Velcro's. I always wash it normally and have never tried in washing machine. Better wash it normally than washing machine.Originally posted by slevynhawk View PostHello guys.. Sorry. It is not suppose to be dried under the sun. I just put it in a dry place for it to dry.

Isn't the velcro too small in width to remove the back protector..??
