I don't recommend THH helmets. Better invest on a good helmet by saving up some money.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I have THH helmet. Its DOT certified.. The fit is good and wind noise creeps in past 80kmph which is good enough.. the lining is removable and can be washed. Its not very heavy but it did cause slight neck strain when i did a 500km almost continuos trip but nothing unbearable.. i was on a strict budget and got it for around 2k online.. its a good helmet and better than the studds and vegas at that price.. MT quality felt a little better but wasnt as comfortable..its better if you go and try it yourself..Originally posted by SanamMarik View PostMmm....guys, anyone??

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Hi guys..I have to finalise between the two jackets. Which would you suggest?
Mototech Waxed Cotton Contour Air Riding Jacket
Mototech Waxed Cotton Contour Air Riding Jacket (Sandstone, 3X-Large): Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike
Rynox Air GT
OutdoorTravelGear is a premium online store for Quality Motorbiking, Camping, Trekking, Mountaineering, Cycling, Water Sports and Adventure Travel products
Which would you suggest? The Mototech seems like a better option, but it has a worn-out look to it with white patches. The salesperson said that this is particular to waxed cotton. A search on Google seems to verify his claim. What do you think?

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I think rynox claims air gt to be waterproof... Btw u cud check out spartan too... The scimitar is being reported also to be a good buy at 5.5k. Currently im running an xelement ordered from leatherup, good jacket but needs an armor upgrade and its easy in city traffic too. Else dsg and cramster are alsl available in more or less the same budget.Originally posted by offtopic View PostHow does it work in the rain? the Mototech's Waxed Cotton claims to be water-resistant to some extent.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I've heard that the Mototech isn't good for Indian conditions. The waxed cotton gets dirty very fast and is difficult to maintain. Go for the Air GT or try getting the Rynox Asphalt, which comes with Knox Flexiform armours for the shoulders and elbows at an increase of 1k.Originally posted by offtopic View PostHi guys..I have to finalise between the two jackets. Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Alright. So that's Rynox 2 Mototech 0
The shop I went to, Babloo Motors in Vashi, only had those two in the price range. I'm planning to head out to Outdoor Travel Gear in Thane today if I can to see what else I can find. If nothing else is available, I'll get the Rynox.
I did see the Rynox Asphalt at the store, but the guy was charging 7.9k for it, which is way more than 1k higher than the Air GT.

The Asphalt is for 6,550/- and the Tornado Pro is for 7,099/-
I feel the Tornado Pro is worth the price difference as you get a Thermal liner with it which doesn't come with the Asphalt.
Do visit Sunshine Auto as well to check out products from SPG and DSG. They are located pretty close to the Outdoor Travel Gear showroom in Thane.
Also, I have heard that Outdoor Travel Gear will be having their annual sale from 16th-31st March (this month). So if you finalise on any products from their store, might as well note the sizing and order them or get them personally when the sale is on. You might be able to save a good buck to invest in some more riding equipment in the future.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Hi guys,
Recently bought duke200.
Planning to buy riding gears (a jacket, knee guards and saddle bags). Jacket should serve for both purpose city ride and touring. Maximum budget i m thinking is 13-14k.
Is it sufficent? If so plz provide optns for gears.

Do you need full gauntlet or short gloves?
a knee guard would cost around 2-3k (aspida perseus is a good option)
For saddle bags viaterra claw is a good option and comes for 2.9k

I need a suggestion guys
Rynox Tornado Pro or DSG Triton which should i buy
Both of them are good jackets which can be used for touring and commutes. I own the tornado pro and can vouch for the build quality and from what i've heard after sales service is good too.Never ride faster than your guardian angel can fly.

Hey mate!Originally posted by jRay View PostI Hope you get it man, i've heard rynox after sales is good. Tell me how it goes.
I've returned the third jacket already. I shall be getting the full refund by the dealer as Rynox said they cannot refund me directly, it all depends on the dealer.
Rynox were kind enough to offer me a croc mount foc. They also mentioned they assure me that if the third Jacket has issues, they'll replace that too. Their motto is to satisfy the customer but as its quiet far from my place i chose to take a refund instead.
Now my question is which jacket should I buy? I dont really like spartan/dsg jackets. What i am left with are Zeus, TBG and any other if you can recommend.
Thanks & RegardsLast edited by JS16; 03-13-2016, 12:11 AM.
