Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Solace passion is the good option for city ride. check the below reviews from our some xbhp fellow membersOriginally posted by Shahreyar Najeeb View PostHello guys.
I am in for purchasing riding gloves. I have shortlisted the cramster blaster v2.
Anyone have any experience with those?
Or any suggestions to buy any other gloves which are better.
I am waiting for my size gloves from 2 months and I am tired, hands are getting tanned.
So any other alternative for good city and highway riding gloves. Would be helpful. Thank you😊
hope this can be useful

I've asked the same to the company. They said they haven't tried but it can be. Size of the pocket is the same.Originally posted by rahlp View PostHas anyone here tried replacing the Rynox Tornado Pro jackets back protector to SAS Tec or any other?

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I had almost purchased a pair of Falco Oxegen2 shin length riding boots but due to some problem with the particular piece didn't go through with the purchase.
Right now I'm waiting for the new stock and meanwhile contemplating if I need a shin length boot or a ankle length will be better.
I have no tracks in or near my city and would be mostly riding in city and highways.
The cost is not an issue but I'd prefer something more comfortable without sacrificing on safety.
Fellow xBhpians please advise.

Since cost is not an issue if you are comfortable with full length boots go for it as its always good to have the best protection in case of a fall. But Ankle length boots are comfortable for daily wear with protection. So it's up to you.Originally posted by paradoxx View PostI had almost purchased a pair of Falco Oxegen2 shin length riding boots but due to some problem with the particular piece didn't go through with the purchase.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Pretty much none. Both are inherently mesh based construction where the Tornado has two liners, rain/winter(fleece) the Asphalt lacks the winter/warm liner, that's pretty much the difference. The shell, is reinforced at impact zones with additional Nylon material.Originally posted by abhi1991 View Postguys whats the difference between Rynox Asphakt and Tornado Pro. ThanksThough it doesn't seem like that on paper, actually there is a significant difference. The Asphalt is surprisingly lightweight as compared to the T-Pro. The knox armors used are different in both too with heavy ones being used on the T-Pro. The Asphalt misses out on a thermal liner and the rain liner(though reissa) is also different. People using the T-Pro have said that the liners are very effective whereas the Asphalt failed the hand shower test in a review.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostPretty much none. If you want a jacket only for city use, in hot and humid conditions and can compromise on the liners then Asphalt is the best fit. The Tornado is more of a heavy duty touring jacket. The way you ride is the way you are..

Define good riding jacket.Originally posted by DriftGod View Postcan anyone suggest me some good all weather riding jackets ?

Almost most of the jackets sold here in India are pretty much good for what they have to offer. Keep in mind, all weather jackets usually include two liners, the either a nylon/Reissa or a fleeced liner aka warm weather. If you practically ride during peak hours, and the temperatures hovering above 25 deg, you can usually look for jacket that has enough ventilation. All else being equal, you'll have to look at the type of armor that the jacket is offering, KNOX and PowerTector and SAS-Tec and good brands to look for.
You have
Spartan Pro Gear - Good stuff. (They have one too many variants, just a click on their website should give you an idea of the different jacket construction they have)
DSG - Though I personally don't recommend DSG Apparel
Rynox - Good quality stuff. 100% recommended.
RJays - Good but expensive. 100% recommended
Cramster Eclipse/Cramster Breezer - Good stuff, but armors are not good.
TBG
Solace
BBB
PGS are all made in Pakistan or it's hard to comprehend what armor they use, usually not that great stuff, but they do cover ones derriere in case of a spill. Remember something is better than nothing at all.
Different jackets have different air flow, construction, weight, armor types et cetera. Go for what fits your budget and what you feel is the best for you.
@abhi1991 hope it clears some air for you either.
Cheers!

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
All are inherently good for what they have to offer. My pick would definitely go for the RYNOX AIR GT, very good quality construction, rain and fleece liners included as standard equipment, plus at a superb VFM money price point. Overall RYNOX is a pretty neat package.Originally posted by DriftGod View Postthanks for ur advice , i have shortlisted the following jackets :
