The query I have now is regarding the gloves. I had purchased them a few months back before getting the bike (big mistake) and had used them for one short spin around the block kind of ride (on my roommate scooty). Since the RTR 200 is notoriously difficult to get hold of it took almost two months after booking to get my hands on the bike. Now after a month of riding the bike I have started wearing the gloves for the first time. I have worn them only twice (for total of 8kms).

Now that I am using them I feel that the glove will never fit me well and that I should have gone one size down (after all doesnt leather wear inslightly to take the shape and improve fit over time it). Could you guys let me know if the gloves are actually usable or if I try to get a replacement from Lets gear up (will they do this???) since the gloves have been used literally for less than 30 mins. Since this is my first bike and I am getting all the riding gears I am worried that I made a big mistake due to my inexperience.
I contacted Lets Gear Up regarding the gloves replacement and went to their shop. They politely refused to replace it (which I expected) and I have been asking around in multiple shops on whether there are people known to them who can work with leather gloves (to shrink them in size). Since its a technical product, all have told me its not possible.

So now I am left with very few options. I am going to see how much I am going to get for these on olx and sell them off. Lesson learnt: (well I had learnt it right after this purchase) never buy gears without trying out their fit extensively. More importantly, weigh the advice of the employees less in comparison to your own feel of the fit of riding gears.

If i hadnt listened to them advising me to get the size larger I wouldnt be stuck now with gloves worth 5k which are useless for me.

On a brighter note I got the Solace Sprint red jacket this weekend (all armors upgraded to level 2 sastech) after waiting since August to try out the TBG Adv breed jacket (my original choice).

I understand your resentment. Just want to know a few facts, did you buy the gloves online, or in store purchase? And whom did you speak to at Let's Gear Up? I recently picked up a pair myself, and am pretty surprised to hear that they asked you to pick a size larger. All i was asked is to make sure there was some space from my fingertips, so the internal stitching doesnt irritate my fingertips.

So finally I'm done with saving my money and I'm ready to buy myself riding boots and pair of full gauntlet gloves
While I'm zeroing only on the once which I can personally try on myself
My budget for boots is under 10k
          And 3-4K for gloves
So for boots I'm able to try myself : 1) BBG full length boots
          2)RST tractech evo boots
          3)Figo boots(sports lv14) I guess
          4)Tarmac venom

          And with gloves :
          1)BBG full gauntlet
          2)cramster tgr2

Please advice best for trying within Delhi/ncr

          Thank you [emoji4]

No resentment as such sir. Just disappointed with the purchase. Since I am a relatively new IT guy don't have much to splurge. But I didn't want to ride without getting the maximum gear possible in my budget. Even then I didn't go for the usual probiker crap (personal opinion no offense meant to any owners) or even scoyco. But for a full gauntlet glove that made my eyes water with the price.

I got the gloves from the store itself. Don't remember the guys name just now. But when the medium size fit me like glove he advised me to go a size larger since some people had complained of the stitching irritating their fingers. My roommate too who was with me (he was looking at me like I was nuts for buying the gloves) told me that since the shop guy has more experience we should listen to him. I reluctantly agreed. Thing is that I seem to be at the edge of medium/large size for these gloves. So while the medium fit me like a glove the large kind of feels unusual to me. The fingers can move within the gloves, there is more than enough space between the finger tips and the edges of the glove and the gloved sits unusually high over my palm area.

Ultimately I made the decision to go with large so I can't blame them for it. After all they were tired of people complaining that too tight a glove hurt them. However I just wanted to highlight how finicky the fit of riding gears can be and why we shouldnt always go by the advise of the shops employees.

These are really great gloves and I just wish they fit me better that's all.

Ryo Raptor 2 from spartan pro gear, I am using this boot, comfortable, good protection and comes within your budget

Aspida ares gloves is good option to consider.
I am having the same. since I have not used any other full gauntlet gloves I can't compare and say how comfortable and protective this gloves is.

I would consider seeing ryo boots too then
And about ares I have seen one of my friends gloves being getting torn up by the leather part that too within a short period [emoji54]

Would like to know how much you had to pay extra for upgrading to level-2 Sastec armours? Original price as per their online store is 5800/-

Did you visit the store in person while making the purchase?

                      Cheers,

What I did was not take the CE approved level 1 armours that were already present (so total price reduced by Rs 480). Then added the following Sastech level 2 armors:

                        1. SAS-TEC SC-1/14 XL Back Protector (http://solaceintl.in/index.php?route=product/product&path=94&product_id=140) for Rs 1550
                        2. SAS-TEC SC-1/01 Shoulder Pair (http://solaceintl.in/index.php?route=product/product&path=94&product_id=125) for Rs 799
                        3. SAS-TEC SC-1/02 Elbow/Knee Pair (http://solaceintl.in/index.php?route=product/product&path=94&product_id=126) for Rs 899

So the total cost came up to Rs.8568 (Rs5800+1550+799+899-480).

Yes, I did go to the shop personally. After my fiasco with the TBG gloves sizing I have become a Nazi with respect to getting a complete understanding of the fit of my riding gear. I think I spent approx 2 hours at the shop (and I went there just to get the jacket). The shop owner was extremely patient and went on to explain even the design decisions taken to arrive at the product.

Cramster Breezer 4S vs Rynox Tornado Pro
Which of these jackets is better for touring usage, considering its waterproofing, armor and VFM.?

Rynox having Knox armor, I feel it's better. Both have Reissa waterproofing and both have detachable liners.
Advantage of Rynox is it's inner liners could be worn separately without the main jacket (that's what I read in a few reviews).
I've read some reviews and I'm doubtful of which one's better in waterproofing.
Please Give me your opinions and suggest the better jacket.
                            Thanks

Hello everyone I am planning to buy riding jacket of around 8k, I have shortlisted TBG and biking brotherhood, I may consider Zeus but don't have much info on this. I have gone through review of TBG and the store is physically accessible to me, so the size will not create problem. I have seen only promotional videos of biking brotherhood and I doubt that. It will be really helpful if anyone have idea of biking brotherhood jackets or have used it, please let me know how it is. If you could help me with Zeus that will also help.

Which one from Zeus are you looking forward to?
I have Zeus Airdrift SP-X which I purchased from Amazon for 9k INR.
The jacket is built very well with ample amount of armour around the elbow, shoulders, back, and collar joint (this one is actually steel protected iirc).
The jacket is good from several aspects, however I couldn't find a way to take out the armours from it. Looks like it has non removable armours.
If you're in Delhi, do look at the PGS jackets too. They are very well built.
