  • Was checking the DSG range in Orion a few days back. The Nero had a tag saying it is waterproof while the Maze is water resistant. Is the Nero really waterproof ? Is the Maze good enough for Blore monsoons ? This is a one time purchase so I want to be 100% sure before I settle for one.

    • That's strange. I have a Nero, and I know for sure it is water-resistant.

700 kms, and a good 11 hours later, the Nero hadn't given up, but it had let some water in for sure.

HydBiker has Nero. You can ask him. No idea about Maze-I have a Cramster mesh.

        • I rode a whole night in rain with DSG Nero jacket and GPOne helmet... not a single drop of wetness on my clothes or body above the waist line. Not even at the neck. I was surprised.

Another time I rode for 4 hours in strong windy rain and same story again.

Once among the above two times I had my mesh zippers on hands open but still

Maze jackets have a mesh layer in the front and water seeps in from there. Cramster gives a rain jacket along with their mesh jackets... doesn't DSG do that?

Maze is porous. It is anything but water proof. Do not go for it for monsoon rides. Nero is 100% water proof. I can vouch for that.

Nope, DSG didn't do that when I bought the Maze.

I recently got the Cramster touring boots short version. Very much worth at that price considering the A Stars etc.priced above 10K. Good features&tough enough. No rain to test them in yet!

                        • Rs.4300 for the short ones&4800 for the long ones. I got the short ones. Just the same as the long ones, except for the shin slider&padding. Would recommend it to anyone else too.

Velocity is an excellent investment. But you cannot wear daily because of obvious reasons.
Cannot comment on Twist. But I have been using vector for daily as well as tour and they are just too good
