is there a new model? i never saw it on there site for Mesh new model, i wanted a cramster as it was cheaper, is there a link for new mesh model?!?Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostHey come on...I just bought the last piece of the old model from you recently. I don't wanna feel jealous when I see someone with the newer model!
@Aryan, As far as i know some Joe rocket jackets come with waterproof inner liner. The DSG maze is fine for drizzle with inner lining.

Cramster says they are launching a new model Breezer Super Mesh 2.0. I also wanna have a look to see what is so 'super' about it! They say they'll put it up on their site soon.Originally posted by Mindgrinder View Postis there a new model? i never saw it on there site for Mesh new model, i wanted a cramster as it was cheaper, is there a link for new mesh model?!?
I recently got the old mesh model at a very good discount, alongwith a free raincoat too. In case you are interested in saving about 1K&don't mind the older model, I think you should still be able to get it from Mumbai.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Thanks for clearing that up. So are the new mesh jackets already available at your dealers in mumbai ?Originally posted by cramster.gear.co View PostProtection: Mesh Vs Textile
Well.. Actually Armour takes 90% of the credit, rest 10% is the abrasion resistance Textile offers. Technically Mesh offers lesser abrasion resistance but the difference is negligible. Don't bother.

Have you seen the new Breezer? What is the difference compared to the old one? Also how much is it priced at?Originally posted by snehmads View PostNew Breezer is not available in blue colour and won't be coming with raincoat.
I was waiting for this jacket for so long. Now cramster is ruled out for me.
If my company give better incentives this year, I am going for Astars

JR Speedmaster 2.0 first ride report.
@Winzee: Thanks buddy! Well, you guys may curse me for spending so much, it set me back by a whopping 15K. Was gonna go for cheap chinese fakes but then that would be going against what I believe in when it comes to safety standards.
Next in line was the AStar SMX-R. But that meant I would have to stretch my budget even more. So had to can the AStars.
Next, I thought of going in for the SIDI B2. Performance Racing sells it at 14,200INR But it was too flashy for my taste. Was very light in weight though.
Finally settled for the JR. Plan to add some subtle cosmetic touches to it. Most imp of which is some much needed reflective tape.
I have uploaded some more pics in the last post itself. As you will notice the opening is relatively narrow. It takes some ankle dexterity and leather stretching to get into the boots, but once your'e in, its pretty darn comfy. While getting out of them is much easier.
Rode for about an hour in slow hot traffic plagued Malad. (As also at Mindspace.)
Gosh, it takes some getting used to man. But was opening up nicely. The short ride was more of a gym exercise for the calves.
but it was nice fun.
Feedback from the sole of the boots is good too. But at times I did feel like my rear brake lever suddenly vanished from beneath my foot. However, the culprit could be the impending service the bike needs. (My brake shoes are fading.) Apart from that the heel is narrow so that too needs adjusting to. Here's where AStars excel and JRs lose points.
Having said that, the level of safety it gives you is petty good. Like Vicky Jaising(PerformanceRacing) said, "After a week, when it gets settled, you will never want to ride without them." They boost your confidence."
I couldn't agree with him more on this count as far as riding gear is concerned. I mean even I feel naked without them on the bike. [Well, I don't miss the jacket for short suburban rides in this summer.
]
@Beruoist: Thanks dude! Good luck with your purchase. If you can then try and use the gear on a bike over there to get a better feel of them before making the purchase.
BTW, guys, you need to be careful when putting your feet down with these boots as you come to a halt. Nothing scary, but just need to be alert. That's cause the foot-movement is restricted. So in the city, steer clear form uneven surfaces. Even then, I must inform you that these particular ones have soles that seem to have been cut out straight from some tyre factory. The entire sole is pure friction happy rubber. Very good for dry tarmac.
That's about it for now. Hopefully after some more use, things will get better. Like all new riding gear, this one needs getting used to as well.
@Rachit: Yeah man! Plan to go to Pune sometime soon. Gotta visit my college for some work.
Keep riding safe guys.
God bless.Last edited by 46wannabe; 05-07-2009, 07:26 PM.10 Commandments:

Ok, I'll also wait till they put it up on the site. I guess getting a raincoat for free is good.Originally posted by snehmads View PostNot ssen. Just talked to this fella.
Price is Rs 4800 (if i remember).
I asked the difference. Answer i got was new design and no raincoat.
I still see it good VFM but damn, they don't have blue colour.
Why don't you look for the old stock? Black&Grey should match with most bikes.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
