Hi!
i want to buy a jacket which I'll be using on long rides only.
my budget is around 2500 and cannot stretch it further
cannot find any in this price bracket.
please help.
i can buy even a locally made one as long as the quality is good.

For 2500, you may not be able to get armoured riding jacket unless someone is willing to sell used ones. Local ones like DSG & Cramsters starts somewhere around 4.5k. Imported ones are higher.

There is a nice Joe Rocket Honda selling on Newenough.com for about 40 USD. Link attached below. If you havesomeone in the US who can carry it when they are coming down - this is a steal.

picked up a leather jacket for my riding purposes.wanted to get the cramster for 5500rs but got this one at a throwaway price(excellent deal).

After thorough website browsing, finally got myself quality stuff through my from Bikebandit through my brother from the U.S.

AGV Sport TRX textile jacket : MSRP : $120, closeout : $35 !
AGV Sport Tornado gloves : MSRP : $90, closeout : $28 !
Thor Secot knee guards : $12.
Shipping withing U.S : $8.

Total : $83 = $83*46 = Rs.3800 !

The Jacket has armour at critical areas and zipout waterproof liner but at the same time is lightweight. Fit and finish is great.
Yet to get accustomed to the gloves and knee pads.

Yup, closeouts is clearance stock in sold cheaper than MSRP to dispose excess/older stock. Usually products under closeout cannot be returned/exchanged and are available in uncommon colours and sizes.

The jacket I bought is available in limited colours and sizes :

The knee pads are available but the gloves are sold out.

Even though my size is closer to medium, I risked it and went for the closeout ones in Small as the price was unbeatable. The jacket fits well but the gloves need breaking into.

Newenough, Motorcyclesuperstore and Motorcyclecloseouts too have great deals on a wide variety of products.

Help in choosing a jacket

I'm looking out for a protective jacket. Preferably waterproof. My budget is around 5k. What i would also like to know is that, I'm having knee and elbow guards. Is it advisable to wear elbow guards under the jacket or the jacket itself is enough?

The waterproof/windproof liner makes a jacket versatile for all weather riding avoiding the need for separate gear for rain/cold/warm weather conditions.
It is a zip-out inner liner can be removed to let in more air for warmer days.

It is slowly becoming a standard feature in all textile jackets.






PS : I found two zippered waterproof pockets while removing the liner. They're so well integrated, I never noticed !
